Emma is looking for Lactation Consultant
|
Location: Richmond, KY, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: September 11, 2025
My baby had lip, cheek and tongue ties when she was born. She had them cut at 4 weeks old. We struggled with latching and because she wasn’t eating enough, I completely stopped and switched her to formula. I tried to exclusively pump but mental health was so bad, I just couldn’t keep up with trying. My supply isn’t completely gone but my baby won’t latch without a nipple shield. She gets frustrated that it’s not coming out quick enough (due to under supply) I hope it’s not too late. She just turned 4 months old and I’d love to be able to breastfeed her again. |

Janae is looking for Postpartum Doula, Birth Doula, Lactation Consultant
|
Location: Lawrence, IN 46226, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: November 28, 2025
I was originally planning to give birth at home but that has pivoted to the hospital now. I had an outside doula I hired at the beginning of my pregnancy but due to personal financial strain, I had to cancel her services. Therefore, I don’t have money to pay for a doula currently. I am expecting my first baby and I’ve always wanted a completely natural birth as I am aware that my body is made to birth. I am being told my baby is measuring big due to gestational diabetes and during my appointment today my OB mentioned a c-section as well as the potential of my baby’s shoulders getting stuck and the complications/risks that come with having a “big” baby. I also do not want to be induced. I want to let my body and baby do what it needs to do when it’s ready and not by force. For the sake of our health I will do things that I may not be most comfortable with if it’s absolutely needed. I don’t believe I need to be forced into an induction or a c-section because baby is big. I want to be able to walk around while in labor, sleep, eat small snacks, get into a tub of water, use a birth ball and deliver in the water or on all fours if possible. I simply want to do everything in my power to make my birthing experience a memorable moment and not a traumatic moment. |

How to increase my milk and how to help increase the fat in my milk. He has went down in percentile and the pediatrician told me I needed to work on my fat increase in the milk. I also need help getting him to latch more than 15mins without feeling like hes sucking my nipple off, I breast pumo and use the manual pumo for 30 mins and it never hurts my nips but if hes latched longer than 15 mins my nips are really really sore |

I’m looking for guidance on my breastfeeding journey. My milk just came in yesterday and I’ve been pumping because she isn’t latching. She roots really well but doesn’t latch. I’m not set on only breastfeeding but need help on what to do. Also need help on my pumps and if I’m using the right size for my nipple, etc. I’m a first time mom and need help! Not sure how much this costs but looking for something not super expensive and want someone who is experienced helping first time moms |

Where do you plan to give birth (home or hospital)? We are planning a hospital birth, with the intention to labor at home as long as it is safe before going to the hospital. Estimated budget Our estimated budget for doula support is $1,200 to $2,000. We recognize this is a significant investment and are prioritizing it because this is our first birth and we are aiming for a low-intervention experience. Describe your birth plan We are planning, for the most part, an unmedicated hospital birth and strongly want to avoid an epidural. We are open to nitrous oxide (laughing gas) as a pain management option if needed. Movement during labor is very important to us, including walking, upright labor positions, and frequent position changes to support comfort and labor progress. We are looking for a doula who is comfortable providing early labor support at home, along with hands-on comfort measures, breathing and grounding techniques, and partner coaching. Advocacy is also important to us. We want support with communicating and upholding our birth preferences with hospital staff, as well as maintaining clear boundaries around who is present during labor, including support with limiting family presence in the birthing room. We value calm, evidence-informed guidance that prioritizes safety while supporting our goals. |
