I likely will have a C-section, and with a toddler and dog we would love some support during postpartum recovery, including lactation support, helping with my physical recovery (what to do, what to avoid) and help around the house (cooking, cleaning up, laundry). We have some family help but no one will be staying with us during the actual physical c section recovery. I have Athem Blue Cross PPO 040 and am based in Los Angeles. First-time mom planning a hospital birth at Pomona Valley Hospital and looking for a birth/postpartum doula with a practical, evidence-based approach. I would like support during pregnancy with education, preparing for labor, helping me understand my options, and creating a birth plan/preferences document. During labor, I’m looking for someone calm and supportive who can help me advocate for myself, ask questions, and help me process decisions without pressure unless medically necessary. Postpartum support is my biggest priority. I would like help with recovery, breastfeeding/pumping support, newborn guidance, emotional reassurance, and preparing to return to work as an elementary teacher. I am hoping to breastfeed/pump and would value someone knowledgeable about lactation and pumping for working moms. I am open to holistic approaches as long as they are grounded in research and evidence-based care. I am not looking for an anti-medical approach and am comfortable with hospital care and interventions when medically necessary. I would prefer someone experienced with first-time moms and familiar with Pomona Valley Hospital or the surrounding area (La Verne/Claremont/Upland/Pomona).

Hello! I'm a first-time mom who plans on giving birth at Cedar's Sinai, and would like to plan for a vaginal birth. I'm new to this whole process so am not sure exactly what I'll be needing and am mostly just curious if my insurance covers any doula care. My insurance is Aetna Choice POS II, and my ID number is W2834 19281.
Postpartum doula for the weeks following a hospital birth. Budget TBD Will not need prenatal support at this time Hoping for someone who primarily cares for mom and helps with food prep + some support for the household (laundry, light cleaning, etc) Ideally also knows how to do massage for mom and belly binding
Looking for a doula, I plan to give birth at st john providence santa monica, my insurance is tricare west
I plan to give birth at UCLA Santa Monica. I really don't have much in the budget, maybe a couple thousand. I'm potentially interested in hypnotherapy and aromatherapy, but not opposed to an epidural, and would like a very quiet and calm environment with minimal yelling. Absolutely no circumcision under any circumstances. Apparently I have a chance at getting reimbursed for doula services if they work under a license of some kind, so that would be preferred. I have Blue Shield PPO, in case that's helpful. I'm 35 so "Advanced Maternal Age", and have been flagged as high-risk for my weight. Any experience helping first-time moms with larger bodies is appreciated. My first trimester has been very rough. Thanks for considering!

I’m currently in my second trimester expecting a baby girl and would love to connect with a supportive doula of color who can advocate for me during labor and help guide me through postpartum and lactation. As a medical assistant student working in healthcare, I value education, culturally aware care, and bringing calm, positive energy into my birth experience.
Hi there, I have Anthem Blue Cross of California PPO and looking for a doula in network. I am located in Rancho Cucamonga and need a postpartum doula
I plan to give birth at a hospital. I do not have a budget specified for this—not sure what the cost range is. Because of previous surgery, I anticipate I will have a c-section, but would like to deliver vaginally if possible. I am looking for an experienced certified doula who has experience with Black birthing people. I am 42 years old and this is my first pregnancy. I am high risk for pre-clampsia.
I will give birth in the hospital. Budget varies depending on which service. Birth plan is tbd
I plan to give birth at a hospital to ensure access to medical care if needed. My estimated budget is around $[insert amount], including hospital costs, prenatal care, and postpartum needs, and I plan to use insurance if applicable to help cover expenses. My birth plan is to have a calm and supportive environment during labor, aiming for a vaginal birth with minimal interventions unless medically necessary. I am open to pain management options such as an epidural if needed and would like my support person present during delivery. After birth, I prefer immediate skin-to-skin contact with my baby and to begin breastfeeding as soon as possible.
First time mom, need help with baby and help with breast feeding, also help with household chores
Hi, I am looking for an in-network doula who takes Anthem coverage for my EDD of Aug 31, 2026. This is my first pregnancy, and I would need both birth and post-partum support. Thank you
Hi Mitzy, I just had my daughter via C-section on Friday morning and I am really struggling. She is already cluster feeding and hates her bassinet. I have gotten about three hours of sleep total in the last three days and I fell like I’m going to lose my mind. Any chance your available for nights this week?
Planning a hospital birth Birth plan is as holistic as possible while being safe for myself and baby
Where do you plan to give birth? I'll be giving birth at Cedar's Sinai in the Los Angeles area. Estimated budget between $1,500-$3,500 for birth support depending on experience and package inclusions. Describe your birth plan I'm aiming for a natural, vaginal birth and want to avoid a C-section unless it becomes medically necessary. I'm open to an epidural or other pain management options to make labor as smooth and manageable as possible, but my priority is a supported vaginal delivery with strong advocacy throughout. Requirements for the provider I'm comfortable working with a doula who speaks English, though Spanish fluency is a plus. Most importantly, I need someone who will actively advocate for me at the hospital and help me navigate decisions in real time to achieve the best possible outcome. I'd prefer a certified doula with meaningful hands-on labor support experience. Details about care recipients This will be my first baby, due in July. No special needs or complications currently anticipated. Additional duties Beyond labor support, I'd love guidance and education around lactation and breastfeeding. I know it can be a challenging journey and want to feel informed, prepared, and supported through it from the start
