Low milk supply no milk let down poor milk tranfer

I’m looking for an experienced lactation consultant to help me with painful nursing and latch issues. My nipples are raw and sore, and my baby tends to pull away and tug at my nipples during feeds. I suspect she may have some oral tension but I’m not sure. I’m 29 and my baby is one month old. We’re exclusively breastfeeding right now. I’d like someone patient and supportive who can observe a full feeding, evaluate latch and positioning, and guide me through ways to improve comfort and milk transfer. Experience with oral tension, tongue ties, and newborn feeding challenges would be helpful. I’d prefer someone certified (IBCLC or CLC) with at least a couple of years of experience. No additional duties are needed beyond lactation support. My budget is flexible depending on experience and visit length, but ideally around $150

Baptist Ochsner is where I plan on going to give birth. This will be my third pregnancy, first time seeking a doula. Trying to find support through labor. Trying to breastfeed for longer than six months. With my first two I stopped due to not producing enough and believe pumping made it worse. Might possibly want help cooking.

Horrible latch. She doesn’t open her mouth why she also was born slightly early her latches excruciating so I know she’s on a raw but I still feed through it. I’m not sure if she’s getting enough or how much milk she should be getting. I occasionally bottle feed but very, very rarely. It’s more so to have that help me in the middle of the night. I believe she may have tightness or stiffness. There’s a an actual name for it. I just can’t remember what it is. It starts with a T, but she does show some of those symptoms of life favoring one side over the other being in a slight curve when you lay her straight, but I also don’t know if that’s just because she’s a newborn so I wanted to see if maybe she needed to see PT and chiropractor to see what all we can work on to help with her latch her pediatrician did mention that she may have a slight lip tie, but she wasn’t sure about a tongue tie. She’s also 10 days old.

My baby breastfed the first few weeks with no issues latching but I was concerned she was not eating enough and hadn’t been gaining quite enough weight, so I switched to pumping. She is now 9 weeks old and I want to switch back to breastfeeding however she has become refusing the breast. She will occasionally latch for 5-10 minutes but more often than not she will latch for a few moments and then cry and scream and refuse. I am afraid she has an aversion now and don’t know what to do.

I am expecting my third baby in May. I had an unexpected C-Section three days after Christmas with my first baby and the lactation consultant at the hospital was out of town. We ended up switching to formula in the hospital. With my second baby, we went straight to feeding formula in the hospital and he was not breastfed at all, but had regrets about it. After lengthy discussions with my husband, I feel strongly drawn to breastfeed or at least pump for our third baby. However, it is very intimidating because I have no experience at all. I am looking for someone who can help me obtain the knowledge and confidence to breastfeed or pump for baby #3.
