Hi Kelsey! I was referred to you through my previous lactation consultant that I used with my first baby, Julie (ohana breastfeeding). She said that you may be available to do home visits, we live on Schofield if that is possible. My baby, Sophia was born with a lot of facial bruising, her jaw was super tight and I could tell feeding sometimes hurt her and made her exhausted. It hurt me as well because even when i could get an initial good deep latch she would slide off and really bite down hard. I switched to exclusively pumping when i got home to recover and to manage my supply better. I have been using Evenflo wide mouth bottles with her to hopefully help her still have a good latch. I enjoy exclusively pumping and bottle feeding because I get to know and control how much she eats, but her jaw still seems to be pretty tight, and she tries to bite the bottle nipple. I also would like to breastfeed at the breast again if I can, but not exclusively |
