There are times in my life where I choose not to take pictures because I want to focus on the memory in mind. I want to remember every detail possible and the emotions I felt during that time. When I had my twins, this was my focus and I regret not taking more pictures of this special time to share with them as they get older. When I had my son, I chose to work with Paulina so that I could live in the moment and also have those pictures later to remind me of one of the most important days in my life. Her work is breathtaking looking at the photos as well as watching the video of my son's birth brings me back to that rare spectacular day emotionally. She not only has enormous talent, but is highly respected by doctors, hospital staff and is incredibly knowledgeable about so many aspects of the birth. Where do I even begin. I was researching and looking for a birth photographer for the birth of our son and I came across Paulina. From the first phone call with her, I felt a deep connection. I was going to have a home birth and wanted to be able to have someone photograph the whole labor process and birth of my son. I knew how important that was for me to be able to have those memories!<br>My sister referred me Paulina, and the very first time I talked to her I knew she was the one and I didn’t have to contact any other photographers.<br>Talking to her felt like I was talking to a best friend, and when I found out I couldn’t have a home birth due to pre eclampsia I was devastated and Paulina was very loving and compassionate with everything that I was feeling, she understood what I was going through, and she kept reassuring me everything was going to be fine. She calm me down and I started to understand that God’s plans were different than mine and I just had to trust Him.<br>You can also message her at anytime and she WILL get back to you right away, which gives us peace of mind since babies are so unpredictable and can come at anytime.<br>One more thing I think it’s important to mention is that birth photography is something so personal and I can’t imagine having someone you never met in your life getting into your privacy and you feeling uncomfortable with that person, that’s why the connection Paulina builds with you from the beginning is SO IMPORTANT and you’ll feel like she’s part of the family and you know her since forever.<br>She didn’t just stand there taking pictures, she was my support, she was proactive, always making sure I was hydrated , calm, laughing through pain, listening to my music, she was supporting me every step of the way, again, she felt more like a best friend than just a photographer.<br>If I can refer her a thousand times I will, best birth photographer and friend :)

Paulina is a true angel! From supporting me throughout my pregnancy, during my delivery and even after checking in. I truly don’t know how I would’ve gotten through my delivery without her. Even my husband said after we got home from the hospital, he didn’t know what he would’ve done without her himself! Paulina helped me navigate all the unknowns of birth while supporting my decisions. In 2011, we had our first daughter. Labor was fast and intense and she arrived at home almost before our midwife, and definitely before our birth photographer. In 2017, our family grew quite suddenly once more, this time through adoption when the difficult passing of a family member blessed us with two more daughters. After a couple of years of our elder 3 pleading, negotiating and even a brilliant power point presenting the merits of adding a fourth child to our home, we were blessed with our fourth daughter in 2022.<br>We decided to have another home birth, and it was incredibly important to us that this event be captured. Paulina was one of the first to know we were pregnant—wanting to make certain she was available before her busy schedule became too booked. Paulina spoke with us at length— our vision, what was most important to capture, and, noting that our prior birth had been very quick and to plan accordingly. This labor was about the same, less than 5 hours from start to finish, and Paulina arrived shortly after we called her. Calm, she was in no way intrusive, or distracting, but a beautiful presence who added to the experience.<br>Receiving my photos a few weeks later was an incredible experience, giving me the opportunity to recall, vividly, what I only vaguely remembered. My beautiful daughters and husband looking on, supporting me in labor. Their reactions—their awestruck faces as they saw and then held their baby sister for the first time.<br>I couldn’t possibly be more grateful for the memories that Paulina captured for us. The beauty of this experience and how it bonded us, bringing our burgeoning family closer than ever. The children often ask to look at the photos, and so we visit them, sharing our own memories of that day—each perspective unique and yet similar, and each captured so perfectly by Paulina. Paulina was an absolute dream to work with! Not only were we lucky to have her for our maternity and labor/delivery, we had her capture beautiful newborn pictures of our daughter. As a first time mom I did not know what to expect throughout this whole pregnancy journey, but Paulina was there every step of the way. Paulina is a special gem and captured the most special birth moments for us! We hired her for the birth of our first baby, and the only reason we didn’t have her with us for the second was because we were in a different state. I did seriously consider flying her up to stay with us, but didn’t know when the baby would be arriving exactly :)<br><br>My husband was hesitant to agree to having a Photographer at first, it was a home birth and we wanted it to be intimate. She became part of our birth team, was gentle and kind, never in the way, and always giving me a warm smile. I labored for 36 hours and she was there the whole time my Midwife was. She slept on our couch, got me snacks and water, I wasn’t even thinking about the pictures during the birth. The real magic came when she delivered the photos. Every image is priceless. The birth portal becomes a blur and the pictures keep me connected to the most incredible experience of my life.<br><br>Birth Photography is worth every penny and I’d hire Paulina especially over and over again. How can I even begin to explain Paulina? We met her at the height of the pandemic when I was pregnant with our first baby. From the moment we sat down together, I knew I liked her. She was so warm, funny, and immediately understood us. We connected on a deeper level when I was diagnosed with polyhydramnios, a condition that she had also had in pregnancy. She is so much more than a birth photographer. She was also our doula and my biggest advocate and cheerleader alongside my husband. Since 2021, we have continued to trust Paulina with all our important family photos, and hired her again for the birth of our son in 2023. Paulina was such a gift throughout an unexpected labor and postpartum experience. I was nervous of the distance between us (Jupiter & Boca) because I expected to have a fast labor (3rd child and my 2nd labor was 3 hours).<br><br>But, we made a plan, and Paulina came as soon as I called her after my third contraction at about 2:30 AM. She was able to capture a few shots of my labor (only like 20 minutes once I was in my room!) and lots of postpartum snuggles and my baby’s initial assessments.<br><br>Unfortunately, my baby went into respiratory distress and had to be airlifted to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami. He went on ECMO and I couldn’t hold him for days. Since I was pumping, I asked Paulina if she could send me some rough edits so I could look at pictures of me holding my baby to help my milk supply. She expedited the editing and had my album to me within days, which was such a comfort during a very scary and difficult time. She went above and beyond for us during some of our hardest days. We treasure these beautiful pictures so much and are so grateful for Paulina’s support before, during, and after our baby’s birth 😊

This is only my second review for any business but I had to say a few things about Paulina and her amazing photography company. She attended my home birth on short notice- we didn’t know about her services until just a couple weeks before and when I saw her work, I knew I wanted her there. Once we spoke over the phone and I got to know her, I needed her there lol she was so kind, reassuring of me since I told her I was nervous about my HBAC, and extremely professional. She arrived when I was actively laboring, and I had no idea she even showed up. She let me do my thing without propping cameras in our faces or making it obvious I was being photographed. Paulina was just a fly on the wall and captured some of the most beautiful pictures, and I know I wasn’t looking very photogenic pushing for two hours. I needed a lot of support from my birth team and Paulina was there cheering me on. She is so great at reading the room and knowing when Mom wants support or needs to be left alone. She was the feminine energy I wanted for my birth. As for the pictures, absolutely stunning. I am very critical and I can honestly say I loved them. Paulina was so professional and had the pictures edited far more quickly than I thought she would. I hadn’t even remembered that she was at birth before she sent them over to me. We’ve stayed in touch for years since and Paulina is always posting beautiful photos- it makes me want to get pregnant again! Lol I can’t imagine having a better birth photographer.

I was blessed to find Paulina early in my pregnancy. I originally hired her as my birth photographer, but I very quickly gained a friend. You can just skip reading this & book with her to save you time bc I’m just going to talk your ear off about how incredible she was at our babies 1st home birth . It didn’t start there , even! She was always there for me the second I booked with her , in pregnancy ! ALWAYS giving this first time, mama The emotional and spiritual support that I needed. My husband was working a lot when we were pregnant with our first baby and she was my go to mama. we had an extremely long and complicated labor at home and Paulina was there every single second of our labor , delivery & golden hour. Paulina is amazing! Not only did a get unbelievable photos of my birth - but she helped me get through everything acting as my doula as well (even though that was not part of our contract)! My two young daughters and I did Paulina’s black and white photo shoot and had such a wonderful experience! Paulina was able to connect with my daughters and got such beautiful photos. I got some of my pictures framed and hung up in my house within two weeks of getting them back! I’m obsessed with them! To put into words the incredible experience we had with Paulina is difficult but I will try. After a traumatic first birth experience, my wife and I were looking to find a way to have a new journey and capture the hopeful happier birth moment the second time around.<br><br>From the first phone call with Paulina, we realized she is far more than a birth photographer (at the time not yet a doula), and she felt quickly an integral part of our birth team. Her longstanding experience gives her immense knowledge. She encouraged us with a plan of questions to ask before birth to all members of the birth team, doctors, nurses, midwives, anesthesiologists and even our parents/in-laws. We felt at ease during this call that working with her to capture a moment would be like having a best friend in the room to advocate for you when needed but also a quiet, confident presence aiding to the collective positive energy we all desire in the room on such an important day!<br><br>Our birth experience at Boca Regional was night and day from our first birth and I do attribute a lot of that to Paulina’s ability to ask questions, listen and give intentional feedback which ultimately helped us to better communicate directly with the hospital (who know her, trust her and accept her in all areas as they’ve worked closely with Paulina for years). The “team” environment was truly built upon Paulina’s guidance to directly ask that our needs be met and our team follow our desires. This cannot be summarized in her offerings because it’s authentically who she is and I’m not even sure she recognizes the full impact she has on her clients’ birth experiences, leading up to and on the day!<br><br>I know it seems like I’m not talking about the experience of having a photographer in the room, but that’s because it didn’t feel like there was a photographer in the room. I am beyond grateful for the photos and video that were captured so naturally and effortlessly that day. We did not feel “on camera” or a need to “be” anything that day except present in the moment for the birth!<br><br>Paulina’s photographic style is unlike other birth photographers I had seen before. We took her highest package for birth photos, video and a subsequent siblings shoot. The photos and videos included pre birth nerves, during birth anticipation and the after birth overwhelming joy. The moments she captured I can’t even put into words, they blew me away as well as my husband, family, and birth team. Paulina was Amazing for the births of both of our kids. She was in constant communication with us leading up to it and never hesitated to call and answer questions or give us guidance. Paulina has been amazing! We hired her for both of my births and she has been an amazing doula and photographer. I remember being in so much pain with my first and she was there to hold my hand and relieve my pain. I knew my journey to achieving the birth I envisioned would be difficult. Due to being a Type 1 Diabetic AND having had a previous c-section, my chances of finding a “High Risk” OBGYN that was supportive of a TOLAC (trial of labor after c-section) were VERY slim. So, I began my search.<br><br>A SUPPORTIVE BIRTH TEAM IS HOW YOU SUCCEED.<br><br>I found Paulina through posts on IG and I would have never thought to hire a BIRTH photographer. I mean, isn't birth supposed to be a super private moment? But, the pictures that she shared and the stories of women like me - looking to regain their power in birth pushed me to reach out and apply for one of the spots in October of 2022!<br><br>I found Boca Midwifery and I was determined to having my VBAC with them. I initially boxed myself in to having the Dr (great doctor) but Paulina pushed me to check in with the midwives (which was my desire) and so I did and they accepted me as their patient with the condition that I needed to be well and accept Dr. if that was the case.<br><br>Birth date! Paulina arrived to Boca Regional once my husband or myself texted her to let her know my water broke. She was like a "fly on the wall". I didn't really see her during the most intense moments of the birth experience, but she was there, supporting me. She caught amazing shots that showcased the beautiful messiness of birth and power of the woman's body. She and my doula worked together to support me and provided me and my husband an amazing birth.<br><br>I chose to hire Paulina because (1) her experience and (2) her LOVE of birth and (3) I wanted my husband to enjoy the moment vs having the expectation of him taking pictures of my baby girl or us. He got to experience the birth and be present in the moment with me and our girl and Paulina got to practice her art.<br><br>I highly recommend her!

Paulina is absolutely wonderful and does amazing work! From the first appointment to the birth she was nothing less than spectacular. When she promises to be available at the time of your delivery, she truly means it! My baby decided to come early and emergently! I called her on my way to the hospital and she met me in the OR just minutes before I gave birth. She managed to make it there in record time and still document my whole adventure. She even came back the next day to spend time with me and take more pictures that we otherwise wouldn’t have had. She really is one in a million, and I cannot recommend her enough.

I didn't know i needed a birth photographer until i found Paulina! I Had the best time with her! She's seriously the sweetest person ever. Within all the plans i made , Paulina is far the best decision! From our first chat to the delivery room, her vibe was just so warm and friendly. Made the whole experience way more chill. I brought my first baby into this world over twenty years ago– long before the idea of birth photography was a real option. I own a handful of images from that day- none of which show the actual birth, or the joy I felt the moment I became a mother. I would go on to have more births, as I am the proud mother of eight children, and I was committed to not making the same mistake. I would have SOMEONE take every picture, at every angle, during every moment–remembering how undocumented my first birth was. I cherish all of those images (which were usually taken by my husband) – the blurry ones, the dark ones— even the ones you cannot make-out.<br><br>The day I found out we were expecting our sixth baby, I knew I wanted someone that could really tell our story. We decided we would be having our second home birth, and we were lead to having all of our children present. It seemed logical and convenient to have a birth photographer to do the documenting, allowing for my husband to be completely present while our children were there. I had stumbled upon Paulina's work during that time, and I was in awe of her talent.<br><br>I will never forget the first time I met Paulina. She came out to my neck-of-the-woods, and within minutes, I felt I had known her forever. She has such a sweet spirit about her, and I knew this was the person I wanted to be a part of our birth team. That was for baby number six, and I have since had two more home births with Paulina–three consecutive births. She has lingered in the shadows, we have shared glances across the room as my baby was about to be welcomed, and she has patiently held space for me. I definitely recommend using Paulina for your photography needs. I hired Paulina for the birth of my daughter and haven’t stopped using her since. She has all the traits you look for in a photographer and more. She is patience, kind, great with children, and has an amazing all around personality. Just recently we did family pictures to celebrate my youngest daughter turning one. Every time we use her we never regret it and you won’t either.

When I began researching birth photographers as a first time mom I knew I had to find someone who I could not only feel comfortable with being present in the most intimate setting, birth, but also could capture the most beautiful memories and the ones you might not even think of in the moment.<br><br>Paulina checked these two requirements of mine and then some.<br><br>My birth ended up being a transfer to a hospital and unfortunately they only allowed my husband and doula which was heartbreaking because I wanted Paulina there, too, but she more than made up for it with her kind words and support through labor & delivery. Not to mention the beautiful photos she took of our family once we got home from the hospital.<br><br>Paulina is professional and honored our contract of 3 sessions despite not being permitted in the hospital. I was so thankful for this as I know how much commitment it takes to be on-call as a birth photographer.<br><br>Once my baby girl was 9 months old we took our family photos. All of our family and friends said that we “won” Christmas card of the year in 2022 and of course, we used Paulina’s photos. For starters wow!! I am in love with the photos Paulina took of my sons birth that I now will get to cherish forever! These photos are a MUST have!! Paulina is AMAZING!! I came across her photos on Instagram and was in love with them but wasn’t sure on cost, if we wanted a birth photographer, etc. I decided to reach out and we had a phone call to discuss what her role would be in my birth. She really opened up my mind and made me think if this was really something I wanted. Deep down I knew it was, I just needed to convince the hubby (which didn’t take much convincing!) Paulina is NOT just a photographer, she is apart of your (my) birth TEAM!! She not only took photos but supported me and my husband Connor throughout labor and continued to encourage me to keep pushing, counting out loud for me while I pushed and even helped hold a leg until it was closer to time! Never did I think a “birth photographer” would be this involved during labor! I will say it again, she is not just a birth photographer!! She was loving, kind, and truly made us feel like family throughout the process. She checked in on me as my delivery date got closer and as I passed my due date. She continued to text with my husband back and forth to make sure she knew when to arrive at the hospital to capture the best photos! Even after birth, she continues to chat with me! I couldn’t have asked for a better birth team! Paulina was the last one to join my team but she came into it as if we had known each other for months already! If you’re debating hiring a birth photographer, I highly highly suggest hiring Paulina! I promise you will NOT be disappointed and you will have not only amazing photos but another person to support you through labor/delivery and after! I am a very sentimental and nostalgic person and I knew that I wanted to have keepsake memories of the birth of my first baby girl. Hiring Paulina was the best decision I could have made. We clicked immediately and she was patient and communicative every step of my pregnancy all the way up to the birth. There aren’t words to explain Paulina’s skills as a birth photographer. On top of that, she is the kindest person you would want around when giving birth. We had the pleasure of having Paulina not only as our birth photographer but also as a doula, when our son decided to come earlier, derailing our home birth plans and having to move to the hospital. I can not recommend Paulina enough. I didn’t have a birth photographer for my first birth and regretted not having quality photos to look back on. Paulina was so supportive during my birth and captured the emotions that were felt that day. I wanted to have an unmedicated birth and with Paulina’s support alongside my amazing midwives Courtney McMillian and Nikki Ramirez I was able to do so. I am so glad we decided to have Paulina as a part of our birth team so that we can remember all of the little details of that magical day!

If I had to give you the short version, I would simply say “Paulina is amazing!” But she deserves so much more than that. My labor progressed a lot quicker than we all prepared for, but all the pictures I received made me feel like she was there the whole time. She captured even the smallest details. And although we met for the first time when she came to photograph, her presence was all too familiar and she felt like a friend I had known for years. It was truly a magical experience. Paulina gives you more than memories or stolen moments in a photograph. She gives you her heart. In every interaction, every photo, you can see that she wholeheartedly loves what she does AND the people that she does it for. Although there may be many birth photographers out there, there are none like her. Book her and fast (but please save a spot for me and any future babies I may have).

Highly recommend Paulina as a skilled birth photographer + doula! From the moment we connected, she was highly professional, communicative and supportive. She regularly checked in after each OB visit and made sure we stayed in touch leading up to the big day. She made friends with everyone at Mt Sinai, which made it easier for her to advocate for me as my doula and get the best shots as my birth photographer. It's also incredibly rare to find this combo in South Florida, and I'm really glad I sought her out. Due to my quick delivery, she also stayed on longer than required to capture a lot of great family photos. A calming, loving presence in the delivery room ... really glad she was there with us to capture such a special moment!

My birth experience of a lifetime was invigorating with Paulina as part of our team. She not only captured our birth story but captured our hearts as part of our birth family. We had an unexpected C-Section after trying for 30 hours naturally and she comforted me with her first hand experience with a similar scenario that happened to her. I met Paulina’s work through her page on Facebook and it was love at first sight. Her work is breathtaking, one of a kind. While looking at her page, I always wondered if once I got pregnant and would have a baby, if I would have the opportunity to have her to take pictures of the birth. After a few years, I did get pregnant. But I didn’t get pregnant in normal times, it was during the pandemic in 2021, where everyone was wearing masks and hospitals were limiting the people that can be with you during labor. I spoke with my husband, and he agreed that we should have someone to document the birth of our first child, if the hospital allowed. I had kept Paulina in the back of my mind of all these years and was excited to contact her and, hopefully, hire her to be with us during the birth of our little boy. I contacted Paulina and she was a sweetheart from the beginning. She supported me from the minute she heard my birth plan and the experience I wanted to have. Besides being an amazing professional, she is a beautiful human being. Paulina is also a doula, which provided her the access to be with us in the hospital room, despite the pandemic restrictions. Thankfully, she was able book our estimated due date and was accessible throughout the whole process. Once I began having contractions, I contacted her, and she readily became available to be with us and document the much-anticipated birth of our son. I stayed at home through 12 hours of the labor, and, at the hospital, Paulina encouraged me throughout the entire 11 hours that took for my son to be born. In fact, she got at the hospital before we did. She gave me words of strength when I was weak and encouraged me when I wanted to give up. She helped me to breathe and take in every surge as if I was a surge shorter to meet my baby. When my husband didn’t know how to keep me going, Paulina would step in and hold my hand and say the words I needed to hear to give me strength. She was there for us without stepping in too much and taking away our privacy, instead, we wanted her to be with us. She assisted us throughout the whole process while taking her amazing, breathtaking pictures. Words will never be enough to thank her for helping and supporting me on my choices and beautifully documenting the birth of our first-born. Together, with my amazing birth team, Paulina made my birth experience a pleasant one. And I remember it all because I have her amazing pictures to remind me of all the moments I had in that hospital room – the bad moments and the most beautiful one when my son was born - just like I wanted. Paulina, you were a blessing in disguise to our family – thank you! Looking forward to my next pregnancy so we can have you with us again!

It took me one full year to write this review, on April 27thof 2021 our son was born, Davi Ribeiro, who just turned 1 year old.<br>There is no way to describe all the anticipation anxiousness that is involved in having your first child, the fear of the unknown that comes with that. The curiosity of how he/she will look like. The fear of diseases or bad outcomes from the labor, add on top of that the fear of a global pandemic situation, where everything is thrown completely out of ordinary. Masks are required, parents’ immediate family, not welcome on hospital setting, and photographers not allowed (as they were not considered essential personal).<br>So… the awaited time is finally here, and its not a movie, until you make it one. Your wife is in labor and let me tell you, it will not be the movie you watch on the screen and say: “this was well done”, it’s a real-life movie, that takes you back to that moment where you felt that feeling of (this is really happening, its going down right now).<br>I was clueless on what to do at the time, I could only stand there and try to support my wife on every surge, but there are too many, and for too long. My wife’s medication did not work, so she ended up taking the pain throughout the whole 23-hour process. Yep, we also thought it would be quicker!<br>Folks when you look at your wife and she is weak, and suffering quite a lot, you want Paulina on your corner. Your wife is not going to be her normal self on that day, she is not going to be rational, she is now going to be strong, she is just going to be in labor. Paulina was providing affirmation words that really strengthened my wife towards the process. The thought of giving up to the pain was constant in her head and mine, and Paulina did not let her give up an inch to that fear.<br>For a little I though she is nuts, I know my wife she is not capable of taking this anymore, as my own wife said that many times through the process, but on Paulina’s mind, she was just focusing on giving my wife new thoughts and perspective of a baby that was coming. Well, we did not have that perspective of fatherhood, on how a baby can really give you strength to fight harder in life, so for me, that did not sink in that well… I just though, I can lose my whole life right here in this bed if this goes wrong, and I have no power to fix it. We had good and not so good moments on that hospital setting, and I can tell you is that the way to remember these feelings so vividly is because I have just looked at the album and that movie played in my head again. I will let you to decide if this moment relived is worth it. For me it was.<br>Paulina, thank you for all the support and the amazing work, see you when we have the next one.

Paulina is everything you could want in a birth photographer and more. She stepped in last minute to take the place of the original photographer I hired and I could not be more grateful. Without a doubt, her photography is outstanding and she is very talented. She captured moments during the birth and the next day when we introduced my daughters to each other that I will cherish for my entire life. Moments my children will cherish someday and have to pass on to their children.<br><br>But Paulina is so much more than a talented photographer. We had only just met and I felt immediately at ease with her. Paulina’s photography work speaks for itself, so I’ll just speak to her as a doula and support person. As someone new to the area, I owe so much of our birth success to Paulina—she encouraged me to make some necessary changes to my medical team, connected me with other important supports (e.g., lactation consultant, hypnobirthing course, pool rental, chiropractics) and was a knowledgeable, dedicated support person during my L&D. She took beautiful photos while being present as my doula and helping my husband and I each step of the way to achieve the birth we had envisioned.

As parents, we are the keepers of the stories of how our children came into this world. Preserving these memories with photography and videography makes sure that our children’s stories stay alive forever. This is why I hired Paulina Splechta for both birth photography and videography for the birth of my third and fourth children. I hired a birth photographer when my twins were born six years ago but at the last minute, she wasn’t allowed in the room by the nurses. In the end, all I have of that birth are two grainy pictures my husband took on his cell phone. She was my doula for both of my births she attended and I could not have asked for a more amazing birth support person, (except for my husband of course). Hiring Paulina was the best decision my husband and I made!! My husband ended up being out of town for our delivery, that turned out to be a C section, and Paulina instantly became my family, all of our family lives out of town. She not only took AMAZING photos and video, capturing the birth of our son, but she stayed with me until family arrived and came back the next day to get pictures when my husband arrived. I had been following PSP for a few years and knew when I got pregnant with my daughter, I wanted her at my home birth. She herself was a ray of light and positive energy throughout my pregnancy. Paulina has photographed the birth of my daughter and son. Each occasion was special and moment to remember. My daughter was our first child and to say Paulina captured the journey of our birth is a understatement. From our home to the birth house she was present. The birth of my son was at our house and involved the logistics of my then 3 yr old daughter which Paulina made the experience easy for us as the family and the healthcare providers. Not only did she capture the spirit of the house (surprisingly calm) she captured the playfulness of my daughter which is still talked about today. He abilities to put photos and video into a quick movie is exceptional. Our extended family was not able to be at either birth so Paulina's eye to interpret the excitement is unmatched. The grandparents could not wait to see the movies. As you consider birth photographer consider not only their ability to shout photos, but the ability to connect with you as a family. Because of Paulina's ability to listen and put to paper our desires we have used her for family photos as well. Some people say always have an attorney in your contacts. As a family man i say always have a great photographer to capture those moments you never want to forget.

My wife and I have had several experiences with Paulina. Each time she has exhibited the utmost professionalism. I highly recommend Paulina! I didn’t know what a birth photographer was and never dreamt of having one for our baby’s birth but when I met Paulina I knew we needed her! Instead of standing behind the camera trying to get pictures like I did when my first children were born (with my wife yelling at me to put down the phone and pay attention) I was able to be there with her in the moment! Paulina was like a fly in the wall you didn’t even notice was there and took the most amazing photographs I have ever seen. When we take family pictures we can have redo’s, change our clothes, and change our pose. When a child is born it is the only chance we have to take the perfect pictures. Now thanks to Paulina, I know that the perfect pictures do exist.

There are times in my life where I choose not to take pictures because I want to focus on the memory in mind. I want to remember every detail possible and the emotions I felt during that time. When I had my twins, this was my focus and I regret not taking more pictures of this special time to share with them as they get older. When I had my son, I chose to work with Paulina so that I could live in the moment and also have those pictures later to remind me of one of the most important days in my life. Her work is breathtaking looking at the photos as well as watching the video of my son's birth brings me back to that rare spectacular day emotionally. She not only has enormous talent, but is highly respected by doctors, hospital staff and is incredibly knowledgeable about so many aspects of the birth. Paulina was inconspicuous and I didn't even know she was there until I needed her. I needed her because she said the most positive and encouraging words and was so supportive of me and my choices for my birth. I only wish I would have met her sooner and that everyone who is going to have a baby realizes the numerous benefits of having Paulina as a birth photographer.

My wife insisted on documenting the birth of our son. I never heard of such a thing but when we met with Paulina, I understood. She is incredibly talented and truly loves her job. She created the most amazing memory of the day our son was born. We have a full video of everyone who was there and a shorter clip to watch quickly when we want to remember how exciting it was! She does all types of family photography, not just birth and is definitely someone who you can trust to capture your favorite moments in time!

Paulina captured my sons birth during a c-section but also the hour before & after his birth. She was able to document all the emotion of us holding him for the first time, of his dad cutting the cord, and my parents seeing him as he was being rolled in his nursery cart to the recovery room. These are moments I would have missed seeing if she had not been there. She does all of this so quietly & effortlessly that you don’t even realize she’s there. I had never really considered inviting a birth photographer to be at my birth, and then I came across Paulina! Her photos are stunning and her passion for birth story-telling was infectious. Within just a few moments of chatting with her, I immediately felt so comfortable and knew that I wanted her to be a part of my birth team/story. She did such a wonderful job of answering all my questions leading up to the birth, and kept in close contact with me as we monitored my signs of labor approaching. It took my husband and I almost all of our 1st and 2nd trimester to agree to hire a birth photographer. Because it wasn't about the finances even though this is an important investment similar to how our wedding was, it was about the intimacy. We were worried how it would feel having an "outsider" who isn't medically necessary at our birth. And we were worried how our older daughter would feel because we didn't do a birth story with her. First off, what we learned during the first 6 months of our pregnancy, that Paulina isn't an outsider. It's such a relief to discover that. She has such a genuine heart. I never in a million years thought I would ever want a doula at my birth, I thought that was for women who are giving birth at home, and I was going to have a schedule c-section, and while Paulina isn't a certified doula, she was a real doula for me. Her emotional support during my whole pregnancy, helping me with my worries and providing me with so much educational support about pregnancy, post partum and even breastfeeding, it became far more than we ever anticipated receiving from her and I could not possibly be more grateful for her. I felt like I was her only birth client! She even came with me to a few prenatal visits and so I felt comfortable that she got to know my OBGYN really well before my birth. And as far as my older child, I can't tell you how overwhelming the joy is knowing that my birth story included her meeting the baby, this also became her story, and made up for the lack of a birth story with my first born child. Whether this is your 1st or your 3rd or 4th baby, my husband and I deeply recommend having this amazing person as part of your care and birth team!

As a second time mom I knew that I wanted a birth photographer to capture one of my most intimate and life changing moments that I unfortunately was not able to get the first time . Due to very traumatic moments during my first birth I knew I wanted someone who respected my space but also was able to know when to get close and personal when the time came . I have no idea how she did it . On top of capturing BEAUTIFUL pictures and videos she knew exactly what I needed during my labor and birth . She is/was respectful , supportive , loving , and goes way beyond what I think any other birth photographer would do . Her work completed the healing I needed to over come every trauma I had been through. If there ever is another baby in the future for our family she will most definitely be our birth photographer again. 💗

I know this is late coming (August birth) but working with Paulina was/is amazing. We had such an interesting yet amazing experience. We had some unfortunate events that happened early on when we first met and she was very understanding but always kept me in mind. where do I begin... Paulina was referred to me by a friend of mine who is a doula. After meeting Paulina at a local Starbucks, to get to know one another better, I knew pretty immediately that this was something I had to do for the birth of my 2nd child, and that Paulina was the perfect person to have their to capture this moment. Paulina is more than a photographer, she is so knowledgeable and keeps you at ease throughout your pregnancy. Not only is she on call for a good portion of your pregnancy, but she constantly checked in with me. She always knew when my next doc appointment was, and would reach out immediately after to check in on both me and baby. Then the day of my daughters birth came, and Paulina was a calming force during the chaos of labor And delivery. Having her there helped keep both my husband and I at ease. As if all of that wasn’t great enough...seeing the finished product of both the photos and video from my daughters birth exceeded any expectation I had! Thank you Paulina for all that you do!

I never had the opportunity to have photos from our first child's birth when my wife and I became parents for the first time, so when my wife became pregnant with our last child, we both knew that hiring Paulina would become the pinnacle of our birth plan. It meant a lot to me to have photos of me cutting our baby's cord, I only have memories from our first. My wife knew after our first birth she wanted to do things differently. Our first she had a hospital birth and all we have are some blurry cellphone pictures. As soon as we knew she was pregnant with our 2nd she told me she wanted to have Paulina there and have a natural birth at the birth center. Being the realist I knew it was a lot of money but I'm beyond happy we decided to invest in these memories that she captured so perfectly. Having these pictures and the video documentary has brought us so much joy, and they are truly priceless. My wife has said to me how she loved being able to watch me support her through labor. Paulina was great to work with from the very beginning, her contract is very clear and I know she helped ease my wife's anxiety too. We took family and breastfeeding photos back in July and just WOW! They are absolutely breathtaking! The best part is how comfortable Paulina makes you, no posing and forced smiles at the camera. We all had real smiles with no effort on our part, it was really a great experience! I was also at a loss for what to wear, and she helped lead me in the right direction via phone calls and text! I had such regrets not having her with my first birth I knew I would hire her for my 2nd. Not only was she great checking up on me throughout my pregnancy and obviously much more often towards the end. She was a ray on sunshine and positivity when I was feeling anxious that I wouldn't go into labor on my own. She helped me relax not only before birth but when I was in labor and after having baby she was so helpful while continuing to do an excellent job capturing such precious moments. She was so professional and even sent me a few unedited images right away that I could share with family to announce his birth. Nothing could ever replace the amazing pictures and video she took, I have rewatched it hundreds of times and he isn't even a year yet. I love that I will always have the moment my first met her baby brother on video and hearing her little voice ask about him is absolutely priceless. I truly can’t say enough about how talented, organized, professional, caring and all-around wonderful Paulina Splechta is—as a birth photographer and as a human being.<br><br>Choosing a birth photographer was an important decision for me. I am also a photographer and I am used to being the family historian. The photographs and videos that I have of my children and husband are my most valued possessions. Photography can preserve a moment forever—moments that you can otherwise never get back once they are gone. I had brought my camera to the births of my two older children and ended up disappointed afterward because I wasn’t able to take many photos to document the experiences.<br><br>When I found out I was pregnant with my third baby, I realized that I needed to find someone that would be able to temporarily take my place as the family historian for this birth. I wanted someone that would be there even if I went into labor in the middle of the night—I didn’t want to risk hiring someone and then having her miss my delivery.<br><br>When I found Paulina online, it was the raw emotion in her gorgeous photos that drew me in. I found out when I met with her soon after that she is very careful with how many clients she takes on per month so that she doesn’t end up with multiple births at the same time.<br><br>On the day that I went into labor, Paulina arrived at the hospital shortly after I called her and she stayed by my side until my daughter arrived. Paulina is so easy to talk to and we spent the hours up until I reached ten centimeters chatting and discussing everything and anything. She did an amazing job distracting me from labor pains and it felt so incredibly natural to have her there in the room with me.<br><br>Paulina has a warm, open, friendly personality and it is nearly impossible to not get along with her. She was kind to the nurses and extremely respectful of my OB. Even my husband, who was initially skeptical about birth photography (“Really, Mary, you want a photographer in the room while you are pushing a baby out of your vagina???”) liked her and felt at ease as soon as he met her. And once she disappeared behind her camera lens, she was completely unobtrusive—I hardly even realized that she was taking pictures.<br><br>Paulina returned to the hospital the day after the birth to finish documenting our birth story by photographing my two older children meeting their new baby sister. Her eager excitement to capture our first time as a family of 5 was obvious as she ran to catch the kids getting off of the elevator to walk into the room. She took video and photos while we all snuggled and caught up after being apart for a day. Before she left, she sent us a few of her favorite photos so that we could share them with family and friends right away.<br><br>My husband and I cried when we watched our video and looked through our photographs a few weeks later. Paulina’s art is beautiful and real and it brought back all of the emotion that we had felt on that day. We are so incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to experience the first time we met our little girl again and again through Paulina’s photos and videos. My only regret about working with Paulina is that I didn’t meet her sooner! Paulina is one of the most heartfelt and caring people I’ve met. From the first time I spoke with her I felt like I’ve known her for years. She makes you feel so comfortable. I cannot recommend Paulina enough! I hired her in May to document our infertility journey (IUI) and pregnancy. She has captured so many moments I would never have otherwise. We hired Paulina to capture the birth story of our son, however, days/ weeks after meeting her she became a friend, a dependable professional, and a sister that I could lean on with the many questions and concerns new, soon-to-be- mom’s have. On the day of our son’s birth she became came a price-less piece to our birth story as not only our photographer and friend, but she seamlessly became my advocate and basically my doula. I am tearing up even writing this, reliving how much she did for us and the love we have for her. Her artistry in her photographs have captured the most intimate and raw moments in our lives, and we will be forever grateful for her.<br><br>We had our son at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, alongside of our team of Midwives from Women’s Health Partners (on that day we had Terry & Tyler for our birth angels!). We took Hypnobirthing classes at the Orchids Nest to prepare our minds for the special day, but nothing could prepare me for the 20 hours of labor when it finally happened. On a personal note, I felt so alone in my hospital room, even though I was surrounded by my medical staff, I felt as though no one knew what I was going through/ feeling/ experiencing and so my labor was not progressing as it should….Enter Paulina. She just “got me”, she took one look at my face when she arrived and knew that she was there to not only photograph, but to help a sister find her way through her labor, and to help her trust her body, and birth team. She reminded me that I chose my team and they are there to support me, that I can and will birth my son, and that my birth team’s #1 priority was my & my son’s safety. She put me at ease, calmed my soul and honestly helped me the most out of my entire birth team. Not that my birth team wasn’t AMAZING, it’s just that she is so empathetic and intuitive, and the friendship that was naturally formed with her allowed her to recognize that we needed something that we didn’t even know we needed. It’s hard to describe all that she was and did for us, because she did it so authentically and so fluidly as she captured our day in photographs. But her presence allowed me to feel more supported and “safe” during my labor. When the time was right, we laughed. When the time was to cry, we cried. When I had questions, she helped me speak up. If I needed quietness, she would leave us to our privacy. Her relationship with the medical staff also allowed her to be such a huge help with so many things, extra blankets, ice chips and she even got a mirror for me so I could watch the birth of our son. The things I would have never experienced had she not been there are countless! Truly. She was an angel, a savior, a sister-in-arms. This woman was our Super Woman. She was always there if you needed her, but she would tuck away into the back drop when you didn’t.<br><br>Many weeks later (I think 6-8), we received our birth story, and honestly I couldn’t even look at them completely because of how much emotion came up. I had to take a couple days and re-open them. We cried, we smiled, we cried some more (I’m crying now, ha ha)….. we were honestly transported right back into that hospital room and got to feel everything all over again! This was definitely one of my favorite parts of this experience. I also enjoyed the fact that I saw things I didn’t even know went on. I got to see the perspectives of my fiancé, my son, and my midwives’. It was magical.<br><br>Choosing Paulina is like inviting Paulina into your family. You probably wont even notice the many things she is doing to support you and your partner on your day until after… and you will feel (I promise) the same amount of love that we have for her. It will be the best investment you make for your family on the day of your labor and birth, and for the rest of your lives, as you have the most incredible photographs to bring through life with you. Beyond the photographs, you will have a beautiful friend to introduce to your son/daughter... and you will not introduce her as “our photographer”, you will unconsciously say “our dear friend, Paulina”. I promise.

I approach Paulina 4 years ago, 2014, about photographing my birth. She had done some breast feeding photos for me, and has the most amazing Ora. Paulina has a way of making you feel like the most confident, strong, and powerful woman. It is difficult to put into words, she is truly an incredible person.
