Hi, I’m Payton! I’m a mother of five and a traditional midwife with a deep appreciation for physiological birth. My own experiences with motherhood have shaped the way I approach birth work and strengthened my belief that women deserve care that honors both their instincts and their individuality. I believe birth is a normal process that deserves patience, trust, and respect. My approach centers on building genuine relationships with the families I serve, providing thoughtful and individualized care, and protecting each woman’s right to make informed decisions about her own experience. I recognize the importance of holding space without taking ownership of someone else’s birth. I’m based in Inman, South Carolina, serving families throughout the surrounding areas of South Carolina and Western North Carolina.

Includes regularly scheduled prenatal visits, labor and birth attendance, immediate newborn care, postpartum visits, and ongoing support throughout your pregnancy and recovery. Care is centered on informed decision-making, physiological birth, and continuity of care, allowing us to build a trusting relationship throughout your journey.

What to expect

I offer comprehensive prenatal, birth, and postpartum care for families seeking an individualized, relationship-based approach to home birth. My services include prenatal visits, labor and birth attendance, postpartum and newborn care, lactation support, and access to laboratory testing, genetic screening, and ultrasound referrals. I also offer select services independently for families who may not be planning a home birth.
