I need to find an in-home lactation consultant who can advice on breast pumping for twins and to help alleviate pain resulting from breast pumping. We live in the Fairmount neighborhood of Philadedelphia. I am 34 years old.

I am looking to make an appointment with an LC prior to giving birth to get sized for a pump and to get more information on the breastfeeding process. I am planning to deliver at Jefferson Hospital but would like a non-medicated birth. Ideally my LC would be covered by my insurance.

I have a 3 month old baby that got checked for a lip tie by his pediatrician and said maybe he has a mild lip tie. I took him to a pediatric dentist and he said he has a significant lip tie. He goes the 17th to have it removed. However, I am unsure if I should actually go through with it or if he needs it done. I’ve been going back and forth. He did have milk spillage maybe some clicking but he has been gaining weight and eating. It doesn’t hurt when he feeds.

I would like to give birth in the hospital, medicated with epidural, immediate skin contact, delayed cord clamping, advocacy when needed, etc. Emotional support, breathing techniques and staying calm is important to me as I am an anxious person. I am looking for a doula that will keep me safe but support me rather than trying to change my mind on the decisions I have for my birth plan. I have an estimated budget with ability to be on a payment plan of $1200.

I plan to give birth (schedule c-section) on 12/5/24 at Virtua Voorhees. I know they give lactation consulting there but I also know it is short and want to set myself up to be successful as my goal is to breastfeed for a year. I have Amerihealth insurance and this is a covered service so my budget doesn't matter as long as they are an in network provider. I also live in Mullica Hill, so I would like someone near there / Sewell / Mantua. I have had a long road to get and stay pregnant and I do not want to be stressed out figuring out how to feed my baby and making sure they are getting enough. I also have breast implants (under muscle) and want to ensure I am setting myself up for success.

I delivered a baby boy (Grant) on 1/3 and I had some immediate success with breastfeeding but since then have had some trouble with latching, cracked and bleeding nipples that lead to my baby spitting up blood after a feeding yesterday afternoon.
