Birth doula to help with delivery and birth plan possibly postpartum doula

A first time mom and dad looking for a doula to support us in the lead up to and during the birth. We live in the Arcadia area and will be delivering at Scottsdale Shea. Our OB is with Scottsdale Perinantal Associates. We’re interested in post natal support also.

Overnight care 2-3 nights per week. 7 week old Baby hasn't slept more than 3 hours since birth and usually up all night.

DHMG, UHC Insurance so that I can go to a hospital that will allow for a natural quiet birth with maybe a water tub available not necessarily for giving birth in but to relieve pain.

Looking for someone to educate on birthing techniques that will help me with labor pain. I just moved back but ideally would like to give birth in a dignity hospital.

I am expecting my first child, a baby born end of August./early September. I plan on giving birth at Honor Health Shea hospital. Our budget for a doula is no more than $2000. I am planning on an unmedicated birth and educating myself through a natural childbirth course. I am hoping to avoid pitocin and an epidural. I am open to using laughing gas if needed, which my hospital provides. Husband to cut the cord once it has stopped pulsing.

This is my first pregnancy. I am planning to give birth in the hospital, but I don’t really have a birth plan yet. I feel like there are a lot of opinions and information online about what you “should” do during birth and I feel very overwhelmed by that and don’t know what is real or not.
