My name is Amber Bardini, and I am the proud owner of Blooming Families Doula Services, LLC - a full spectrum doula agency, serving our wonderful clients throughout the greater Sacramento area and beyond. As a wife, mom of three, and certified full spectrum doula, my mission is to ensure that every parent and parent-to-be feels empowered, nurtured, and fully supported as they navigate this beautiful transition. My journey into the world of doula work began with a passion to make a positive impact on the birth and postpartum experiences of new families. Becoming a parent was one of the most challenging transitions of my life, and I remember how lost and alone I often felt as a new mom. I knew there needed to be a profound change in how we treat new parents and parents-to-be. I am truly dedicated to supporting new families—so they never have to feel the way I did. I founded Blooming Families Doula Services to extend compassionate, professional support to families in every stage of their journey. My goal is to ensure that every family receives the dedicated care they need to thrive and to help them build a strong, supportive village around them. I believe that every birth and every journey is unique, and every person and new parent is different. What works for one person, may not work for another. We are here to support you according to your specific needs. I am committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive space for everyone, especially within the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. Everyone is valued, respected, and embraced for who they are. Thank you for considering having us as part of your journey. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and support you every step of the way.

I became a single mother by choice about 6 months ago. The pregnancy and circumstances around it were challenging. I had gestational diabetes and had to switch providers from a birth center to a hospital at about 7 months into the pregnancy. On top of that, the company I worked for was bought by a different company and I had to switch insurance carriers which made things even more complicated. All that being said, I was so glad to have Amber as my doula during this time. Her presence is grounded and steady which was exactly what I needed. She provided lots of helpful information and has a strong network of other doulas to get information from as needed. Her calm presence at the delivery was so helpful and gave me the confidence to make it through. I now look back on it as a positive experience and I'm grateful that Amber was there to help me.

Morgan Gray

Hi there! My name is Morgan and I am a birth and postpartum doula in Sacramento, CA. I am currently working towards my Maternal Support Practitioner certification through Bebo Mia. I’ve always been fascinated by birth, but after experiencing an unplanned cesarean with my first son, then achieving a VBAC with my second son, my fascination transformed into a passion. Everyone’s birth is different and unpredictable. My dream, in the chaos and beauty of birth, is to make sure all birthers feel safe, supported, and nurtured, both during labor and in the postpartum period. Being there to support one of the most transformational and emotional moments of life is truly such an honor. As I’m working towards my certification and need a specific amount of hours/births attended in order to reach that goal, I’m more than happy to work with sliding scale. Currently, I am unable to accept insurance but hope to in the future! When I’m not absorbing everything I can about pregnancy, birth, and beyond, you can usually find me trying to sneak in a few chapters of a romantasy novel, playing monster trucks with my boys, or laughing with loved ones.

Well Mama Birth Services was born from my deep desire to create a space where every woman feels seen, heard, and supported throughout her birthing journey. Rooted in a holistic approach to birth, I honor both the physical and emotional experiences, believing that when women are treated with care, respect, and compassion during pregnancy, they birth with strength and grace. Inspired by the legacy of the women in my family who taught me to trust myself, my body, and the sacred process of birth, their wisdom is at the heart of everything I do as a doula. Birth can be unpredictable and raw, but I truly believe YOU. CAN. DO. THIS. Every woman has the innate power to navigate this transformative journey, and my role as your doula is to help you tap into that strength. I am here to stand by your side as you surrender to the experience of birth and trust in your own power. Whether supporting the full spectrum of maternal health—including infant loss, miscarriage, and beyond—being a doula is my lifelong passion.

Wendy was an incredible support throughout my home birth journey. Her prenatal guidance was invaluable—she took the time to educate me, answer all my questions, and help me feel truly prepared. Our conversations gave me so much confidence, and she always made me feel heard and supported. During labor, her calming presence and reassuring words kept me grounded. I couldn’t have asked for a better doula to walk this path with me. If you're planning a home birth, I highly recommend Wendy!

I discovered my passion for birth early in life. I grew up hearing the story of my own birth often. I was a planned home birth, but after four long days of labor my mom transferred to the hospital for some much-needed rest. I was born vaginally, and she still described the experience as beautiful, despite the long and difficult labor we went through together. My brother was born just before my third birthday. I don’t remember much from that day other than my mom being loud, the house being full of people, and the heat of a July afternoon. My mom, however, remembers a moment during her labor when I brought her a cool glass of water, which was exactly what she needed at that time. Some might say that I became a doula that day! When I was six, my mom had my sister. By then, I was completely captivated by pregnancy and birth. I remember attending midwife visits with her just down the road from our house, and being enamored with this kind, knowledgeable woman who welcomed my curiosity. My sister was born in early January. My mom labored next to our wood-burning stove all day, then lay down on our couch and gave birth right there. I sat near the end of the couch, watching it all unfold, and at that moment I knew I would become a midwife. My youngest sibling was born when I was ten, this time in a hospital after another long labor (yes, that can happen even with your fourth baby!). My mom made sure my other two siblings and I were there, and I think it was just as important to her as it was to me that I witnessed it. Once again, I was awed by the moment a baby emerges into the world. I even got to cut my sister’s umbilical cord and be the first to hold her after my mom. For a few years, I set my dreams of midwifery aside. I came back to birthwork when I began college with the intention of becoming a nurse and working in labor and delivery. As I completed my nursing prerequisites, I started to lose some inspiration and decided to take a doula training. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what doulas did — I just knew I wanted to be in the room where birth was happening. From my very first training, I fell in love with the work and began seeking opportunities to support births right away. It has been everything I dreamed of and more, reigniting my passion for midwifery. I plan to begin nursing school in the fall of 2026 and later attend graduate school to earn my master’s in nursing science and become a Certified Nurse Midwife.

Working with Maggie was the best decision I made for this pregnancy and wish I would have found her for my first pregnancy! She is calm, patient and intuitive. In what can be a chaotic time, she can sense when to take the lead or step back and support in the periphery. She is a wonderful listener and will work with you on creating a birth plan that is catered towards your goals without judgement. Even as this was my second birth, I learned so much more about the process due to her guidance along the way. She is connected with many of the hospitals in the area and has worked with much of the staff. I was consistently impressed with how Maggie communicates proactively, reaching out often either to check in, answer any questions or to follow up with open items. She is punctual and very reliable. Maggie truly loves her work and it is reflected in her constant pursuit of more knowledge and in her very nature. I would recommend her to anyone I know who is pregnant and would love to work with her again.

We are so grateful for our amazing doula! From the very beginning, she was incredibly responsive and always made herself available to meet with us in person, which made a huge difference compared to virtual support. She answered all of our questions with patience and expertise, and guided us through choosing the right baby products, which was so helpful as first-time parents. When I was unexpectedly hospitalized for five weeks due to a pregnancy complication—placenta previa that later transformed into vasa previa—she went above and beyond to support us. She went to our home and packed my hospital bag, making sure I had everything I needed. She also helped us with buying a stroller after discovering that our original choice wasn’t compatible with our car seat, and even installed the car seat for us. Throughout my hospital stay, she visited me regularly, offering comfort and reassurance during a very difficult time. The birth ultimately resulted in a 1.5-hour C-section due to the vasa previa condition. She was there when I woke up, feeling extremely sick and overwhelmed, and I truly don’t know what I would have done without her emotional and mental support for both me and my husband. Her presence and guidance made us feel supported and empowered throughout the entire process. In the postpartum period, she continued to be an incredible resource. She came to our home, offered advice on caring for our baby, and helped us install and learn how to use several products we had bought or received but had no idea how to use. Her hands-on support and practical guidance made a world of difference as we adjusted to life with our newborn. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better doula. She was our guardian angel, and we are so grateful she came into our lives. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional care and support during pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

Parents: please share your EDD & contact info in the message body 🙏🏾 Birth doula of 13 years. This is my calling in life to be of service to labor/birth. I’m very grateful to have this as my service in this lifetime and believe every new life is a gift to be honored with care, love and respect for the process. Trained in techniques that encourage optimal fetal positioning by finding balance in the body (more comfort during pregnancy as well as labor/birth) optimal positioning helps labor be more comfortable, increasing odds of a efficient and smoother vaginal birth. I share these techniques with my clients in the third trimester to decrease the use of interventions & prevent trauma. Also practicing placenta encapsulation and massage therapy at Full Moon Birth & Family Wellness Center.

We had the most magical natural unmedicated birth experience in a hospital and we owe so much of it to Gretchen. Right from our first interaction when we were interviewing birth doulas, we were drawn by her warm nature. Her prenatal visits were extremely helpful be it the exercises she taught us to enable an optimal baby position for birth or her inputs into crafting our birth plan. We would have been lost with the information overload if not for her timely, targeted and super informative educational resources that have been extremely helpful to us as first time parents. She has always been a text or phone call away to address anything we needed. She brought in a sign of relief when she entered the labor room...her calming presence during my final stretch of labor and the positions she guided me through definitely helped me avoid an epidural. The icing on the cake was her singing a lullaby to our little one upon birth, it felt divine. She also captured beautiful moments of our baby's birth that we will cherish forever. I will always remember her positive affirmation 'You are stronger than you think!'. Can't thank you enough Gretchen for being the rockstar that you are and all your support to growing families :)
