I was born and raised in DFW. My family and friends mean the world to me. Having a sense of community is so important. My favorite people in the world call me Aunt Dani! In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, practicing hot yoga, working out, going to church, and sewing. My faith has definitely helped shape me as a midwife. Hallowed means regarded as holy or sacred. To me birth is a very sacred experience that should be treated as such. Before stepping into the role of a midwife, I spent nearly three years as a labor and delivery nurse in a hospital setting. It provided me with a solid foundation and invaluable experience, but I slowly came to realize that my values did not align with the hospital culture. When I moved to San Diego in 2018 I decided to leave the hospital and pursue my dream of becoming a midwife. During my training I truly fell in love with home birth. Witnessing a baby enter this world in the very place they will grow up is an incredibly special and sacred experience that deeply touches my heart. During my midwifery training, I made the decision to move back to Texas, wanting to be closer to my family and friends. ​ After completing my midwifery education I began working at a birth center. The birth center was an amazing experience, but I am thrilled to embark on this next chapter of my career, returning to home births and reconnecting with families.
