We are so incredibly grateful that we hired Melinda as our doula. From the very beginning, she was always available to answer our questions and provide reassurance, and she brought such a calm and comforting presence to our birth experience.
Our little one decided to arrive early, and Melinda was incredibly flexible and showed up when we needed her. Throughout labor, she offered so many helpful recommendations for position changes, pain management techniques, and ways to work through each stage. She also helped my husband feel much more confident in how to support me through some of the most difficult parts of labor, which meant so much to both of us.
Our birth experience ended up being drastically different from what we had planned, but Melinda was wonderful at helping us pivot, supporting us through the unexpected, and encouraging us as we made decisions along the way. I especially appreciated that she prayed over us right before delivery. It was such a meaningful and comforting moment that I will always remember.

After scrolling for a doula, my husband pointed out that all Melindas kids have biblical names, and we contacted her right away. She was the only doula that got back to us in a timely manner, was very affordable, and has a sweet gentle spirit of the Lord.
When it came time for me to deliver our babygirl, Melinda helped her come in one push! She lifted my leg up when I didnt have the strength because the contractions were so strong, and our baby came out seamlessly thanks to Melindas knowledge of getting me in the right position.
Melinda being there felt closer than a mother with her soft voice and kind touch. I did not want a doula because I felt like it would be invasive, but after my birth center said its their policy to have a doula for first time births, my husband and I prayed that God would send us the perfect person knowing how I felt about it.
God answered our prayed above and beyond with Melinda! I am so grateful she was there for me and my family. I would choose her 100 times over again. She is a friend for life and she has answered countless questions in our first 2 weeks as new parents, which is above and beyond her contractual agreement. That's the thing that was Melinda, is that being a Doula is beyond a contractual agreement for her, this is truly the desire of her heart and it shows up in her work. I cannot recommend Melinda enough. After having two traumatic birth experiences, I knew I needed to prepare differently this time.
My first birth was a natural birth during the pandemic, and unfortunately there were many errors made at the hospital. My baby ended up in the NICU, and I developed a serious infection after being allowed in a tub after my water had broken. It was my first experience, and I did not know better at the time.
With my second birth, after pushing, I was told I needed an emergency C-section because my baby’s heart rate dropped. That experience also came with many mistakes and I ended up with another bad infection.
Because of all of that, I decided to do my research for my next birth, and that is how I found Melinda. I wanted to try for a VBAC, but almost everyone around me told me no. Melinda was the one person who made me feel confident, supported, and heard. I shared all of my fears and concerns with her, and she always kept me positive. She became my voice when I needed one.When the day finally came and my water broke, Melinda talked me through labor and helped calm me down. Once we got to the hospital, she was exactly what I needed. She respected all of the healthcare workers and let them do their jobs, but she also advocated for me and helped me stay calm when scary things were being said, especially when my baby’s heart rate was dropping.Thanks to her support, I had a 3.5-hour labor and the best birth experience I could have hoped for. She was also a great support for my husband, which meant so much to both of us.
Do not hesitate to hire Melinda. I am telling you, it will be one of the best decisions you make. She is amazing.

From the moment we met Melinda she felt like an old friend. She was always there to answer any question we had. Her warmth and calm nature eased my anxiety as a first time mom and that chemistry carried into the labor room.
