I'm higher risk (advanced maternal age) and so definitely plan on a hospital birth. I'm looking for a doula, a night nanny and postpartum support. We are new to the area and don't have family or any support locally so we'll be relying heavily on our team for support. We're not sure on a budget, but are open to learning more. I'm only 11 weeks so I do not have a defined birth plan. Thanks!

I recently found out I’m pregnant. I’m very interested in having a midwife as my primary provider, and I’d also like to work with a doula who collaborates well with midwives during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. I would like to deliver at Paoli Hospital or Pottstown Hospital, whichever is most appropriate based on my care team and availability. I would like an estimate of the cost for prenatal care and delivery with a midwife. Is my insurance accepted, and what would my out-of-pocket expenses likely be? Birth plan and preferences for your reference: Labor & Pain Management: • Prefer non-medical pain relief first: walking, changing positions, hydrotherapy (shower/bath), breathing techniques. • Intermittent fetal monitoring preferred over continuous, unless medically indicated. • Avoid routine interventions (induction, episiotomy, continuous IV fluids) unless medically necessary. • Open to midwife/OB guidance if complications arise. Delivery Preferences: • Upright positions, hands-and-knees, or side-lying for pushing. • Immediate skin-to-skin with baby after birth. • Delayed cord clamping. • Gentle delivery techniques for both mother and baby. Newborn Care: • Breastfeeding as soon as possible. • Limit unnecessary newborn procedures.

I plan to give birth in a hospital setting and would really like a doula who is supportive of an unmedicated birth. My goal is to have as natural of a labor as possible while still being in the hospital environment. I’m looking for someone who can provide encouragement, reassurance, and calming support throughout labor, and help me stay focused and comfortable using natural pain-management techniques such as breathing, movement, positioning, and relaxation. This is very important to me because I want to feel supported, confident, and empowered during the birth process. I would love someone who can help advocate for my preferences if needed and create a positive, calm atmosphere during labor. I’m 34 years old and currently 31 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I plan to give birth at Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA. I currently don’t have health insurance, and am enrolled in VA Healthcare, which is the benefit that has been paying for all of my prenatal and maternity care thus far. My active duty fiance and I plan to get married mid-February, 2026, and I will then have Tricare Prime health insurance as his dependent. My estimated budget is whatever Tricare Prime will cover for a certified doula. My birth plan has not been created yet.

I’m interested in having a natural water birth. I want to breast feed. I want to delay cord cutting and newborn’s first bath. I have Medicaid and commercial insurance.

I would like to give birth at home but most likely I would have to give birth in a hospital due to gestational diabetes. My budget is hopefully less than a few hundred dollars unless covered by Medicaid if given a provider that accepts Medicaid. I would like to be able to go into labor naturally without having to be induced early(doctors like to induce women with gestational diabetes) I would also like to be able to freely move around as I've never had that freedom given I was induced and also recieved the epidural due to being in pain with both of my children.
