I would like someone to be there during the birth that would be able to act as the communicator between me and the hospital staff. I would prefer to have an unmedicated vaginal birth if possible and do not want to get induced or anything that would induce labor before my body is ready.

I am needing a doula or a midwife. I have my first apt with a OBYGN but I believe I would like to go natural *no epidural* for the first time. I have had 4 pregnancies and births prior to this one all with epidural and vaginally. I am planning to give birth at either citizens hospital in Victoria or Detar in Victoria, I am leaning towards citizens hospital. It is my 2nd pregnancy, my first was an emergency C section and I am trying for a VBAC this time! My provider is supportive, I just need to go into labor myself before 41 weeks & some change. I went very late for my first birth (41 and 3, and I took castor oil to effective induce myself) so there is some concern I won’t go into labor myself. I have never had a doula before so I don’t know what the price range would be! My birth plan is a rough sketch right now but: I want it to be as natural as possible. No epidural, no fundal massage, and very delayed cord clamping.
