Doula Services Request Birth Location & Plan I am planning a hospital birth at a civilian facility (non-MTF). My birth plan prioritizes a low-intervention approach with a focus on movement, breathwork, and physical comfort measures, though I am open to medical support if necessary. I am looking for a doula who can provide continuous in-person labor support and advocacy within a hospital setting. Provider Requirements (TRICARE Compliance) To qualify for coverage under the TRICARE CBSD, the provider must meet the following criteria: Certification: Must hold a current certification as a Certified Labor Doula (CLD) from one of the approved bodies (e.g., DONA International, CAPPA, BirthWorks, ICEA, toLabor, or the National Black Doula Association). Experience: Must have attended at least 3 births as the primary doula (including at least 2 vaginal births) and have provided antepartum/postpartum support for at least one birth. Documentation: Must have a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number and be willing to sign a TRICARE Participation Agreement to accept TRICARE’s maximum allowable charge as payment in full. Safety: Must maintain current adult, child, and infant CPR certification. Care Recipients & Additional Duties The care is for myself (adult) and my newborn. I don’t feel that my past obgyn doctors were anything but helpful and instead made me feel neglected or that I was asking for too much. I want a different experience full of support, love, and jokes. This pregnancy I want someone I can rely on in this new journey. I would love to have a black or indigenous doula.
