About Ro

A New York native turned Maryland transplant, Ro’s journey to becoming a doula was paved by a deep fascination with how people transform throughout life. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, they spent years specializing in early intervention and infant feeding. The foundation of their career began in the home of new families, supporting children from birth to three during their most pivotal developmental milestones. Their work in early intervention and strong interest in birth guided them to DONA’s Labor and Birth Doula training in 2020. They quickly realized their heart lives in the “after” - helping families adjust during the transformative postpartum period. They spent five years in North Carolina as a private nanny and infant educator, honing the practical, day-to-day rhythms of newborn care. In 2025, they formalized this passion through ProDoula’s Postpartum & Infant Care training. Today, through RoCo Doulas, they combine their clinical knowledge of infant development with a warm, supportive approach to postpartum care. Ro is here to bring authentic, knowledgeable, and judgment-free support to your home.

Our short-term, live-in doula support is designed to bridge the gap, providing the expert-level oversight you received in the birthing setting within the intimate, restorative setting of your own home. Our live-in doulas integrate into your household flow, anticipating needs before they are voiced and managing the logistics of a new baby so you can focus on bonding. Frequently asked questions

Do you offer overnight care? If so, what does that look like?

Yes! At RoCo Doulas we offer daytime and overnight care. Overnight shifts are very popular for those early postpartum days. During an overnight shift, our goal is to provide complete care of the newborn - i.e. diapering, soothing, swaddling - while you rest. If you are nursing, we make that as easy as possible by bringing baby directly to you and taking baby back to handle the burping and re-settling. If baby is bottle fed, we will handle it all! We also help get you set up for a successful day ahead by cleaning bottles, pump parts, etc. and completing other household tasks. Our exact tasks depend on your specific needs.
