I plan on giving birth at Riverside in Newport News and would like to find a doula that accepts tricare. My birth plan is to have an unmedicated birth and labor in a tub if possible.

I am a first time mom who just wants to ensure I do everything right for my baby. I am looking for someone who can help with birth plans/prep, postpartum care, and just the overall basic knowledge for the rest of my pregnancy. I am hoping to use insurance, & I will be giving birth at Riverside in Newport News Va. Going for a natural birth with immediate skin to skin for the golden hour. Delayed cord clamping. Mostly movement. And minimal interventions. Avoid episiotomy unless absolutely necessary and permission must be given first.

Live in King and Queen county. Delivering at Riverside in Newport News. I have Anthem Healthkeepers thru Medicaid. I’ve had C-section in 2001. Vbac in 2005,2008,2013,2017. And a C-section in 2024. I’d like to have a vbac again. I have no partner to be there, although we live in the same house, we are not together. I don’t have much help now or will after the delivery.

I plan to give birth at Sentera Norfolk General Hospital. I live in Yorktown, VA so may go to the closest hospital if I go into early active labor. My husband and I are federal workers and are being affected by the government shutdown. I am still figuring out a birth plan. This will be my first birth.

We will be giving birth at Sentara Leigh Hospital, ideally without an epidural. We are most concerned with getting reasonable sleep for the first 8-13 weeks and would like a night nurse for 4-5 nights a week for the first 4 weeks, and the. 3 nights a week for the next 8-10 weeks depending on the need. Other postpartum services that would be helpful would be some lactation consulting and referrals to Pelvic floor physical therapy and being an advocate for the mother.
