I will be giving birth in a hospital. I don't have a budget in mind yet as I am first starting my research. I am currently working on my birth plan.

I plan to give birth in a hospital and I’m looking for a doula who can support me on the day of delivery. I am planning to get an epidural if possible and would like guidance with using a peanut ball and laboring in different positions instead of only delivering on my back. I may want to try all-fours on the bed or side-lying with one leg supported. I also prefer for the placenta to remain attached until it stops pulsating. My estimated budget for doula support in Richmond, VA is around $800–$1,200 depending on what is included. I currently have Blue Cross Blue Shield FEP (lowest plan) and would like to know if any portion can be reimbursed.

I am looking for either a doula, midwife, or CNM that will allow me to attempt a VBAC. I am not yet pregnant, I am gathering information at the moment to see what my options are. I delivered my first child through c-section 20 months ago. Everything went normal (water broke on own, got to 10 cm dilated, was pushing).
