I’m relatively new to the U.S., and I don’t have my family with me, so finding someone who can offer emotional support and a comforting presence is really important to me. Speaking Spanish would be a big plus, as it helps me feel more grounded and connected during such an intimate experience. I will be giving birth at a hospital, and my birth plan is still evolving. I trust that my body knows what to do, and I’m leaning toward a natural and intuitive approach, while staying flexible depending on how everything unfolds. Hospital birth at Norton labor and delivery St. Matthews location. Using health insurance (Passport by Molina). This is my first pregnancy and I’m unsure of what a birth plan entails. I do plan on having an epidural. I would also like for there to be delayed cord clamping. As well as splitting skin to skin “golden hour” between my husband and I.

We are looking for a Doula who can work with us leading up to birth, be there for the birth to help advocate and support me, and we’re considering a doula for postpartum but it’s not as necessary. 1. I’m supposed to give birth at hospital. 2. We are looking to get pricing. We aren’t really sure right now in terms of budget. 3. I’m having twins. I want a vaginal birth. I don’t want to be on my back, I don’t want epidural but if I have to due to c-section so be it. I want delayed clamping, I want the umbilical cord/organ to come out naturally I don’t want them tugging on it. I want music playing, I deal with migraines so if I can have low lighting in the room that would help me a lot. These are just some of the things on my birthing plan.

Looking for a doula to assist with an unmedicated birth

I am having a hospital birth due to being considered "high-risk," but I'd like as natural an experience as possible and want my wants and needs to be taken seriously. From what I've seen doulas cost around $1.5k, so I'm willing to pay around that amount. I want as few interventions as possible and to not be pressured into anything (epidural, inducement, etc.). I would like to be able to choose what positions I'm most comfortable in during birth rather than being forced onto my back, if possible. I do not want to be forced into an unnecessary c-section or the birth rushed. Unless the baby is in a real emergency, I want the baby to have skin-to-skin contact with me immediately after birth. I do not want the baby to be given a pacifier whatsoever. I intend to breastfeed.

Low intervention birth, will be delivering at the hospital. I don’t want formula to be fed for my baby I will plan to pump and have milk on reserve for hospital stay in case of emergencies.
