Tewanda is looking for Birth Doula, Lactation Consultant
|
Location: Durham, NC 27710, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: April 03, 2026
I am seeking a birth doula and lactation consultant to support me through a planned hospital birth and the immediate postpartum period. I value evidence-based guidance, emotional reassurance, and hands-on support that respects my autonomy and preferences. I plan to give birth in a hospital setting and would like a doula who is experienced navigating hospital environments, collaborating respectfully with medical staff, and advocating for patient-centered care. While I am open to medical interventions if they become necessary, my goal is to have a low-intervention birth whenever safely possible. I am particularly interested in comfort measures such as breathing techniques, movement and positioning, massage, counterpressure, and continuous emotional support during labor. Clear communication, calm presence, and the ability to help me and my partner understand options in the moment are very important to me. My estimated budget for doula and lactation support is moderate and reflects the value I place on experience, availability, and continuity of care. I am open to discussing packages that include prenatal visits, on-call labor support, postpartum follow-up, and lactation assistance. My birth plan emphasizes informed consent, flexibility, and feeling supported and heard throughout the process. I would like support creating a calm birth environment, minimizing unnecessary interventions, and encouraging immediate skin-to-skin contact after birth when possible. I also value support for my partner so they feel confident and involved during labor and delivery. In addition, I am seeking a lactation consultant who can provide both prenatal education and postpartum, hands-on breastfeeding support. I would like guidance with establishing breastfeeding, ensuring a proper latch, understanding feeding cues, and troubleshooting common challenges such as soreness, supply concerns, or newborn feeding issues. I am interested in evidence-based, nonjudgmental support that aligns with my feeding goals while remaining flexible if circumstances change. Overall, I am looking for professionals who are warm, knowledgeable, inclusive, and respectful, and who can provide reassurance, practical tools, and advocacy to help me feel confident and supported throughout birth and early feeding |

I am searching for a birthing doula/ postpartum. I'll be giving birth at Sovah hospital in Danville VA. Im using medicaid. I want to labor at home until I get into active labor. I'd like to get an epidural but wait until 5 cm at least. I'd like to do as many movements as possible to help get baby into position vertically before epidural and after epidural I'd like to have help with different positions on a ball in bed. I want my husband there and to help with counter pressures and just to be with me. I'd like the lights to be dim and minimal interruptions and cervical checks. I need help finding others way of managing pain in case something goes wrong with epidural and i have to go naturally. Possibly some music but I may just put headphones in. When baby comes I want delayed cord clamping and after she can be wiped off but I'd like her back immediately for golden hour. I want to try to latch her as soon as possible. |

Kelsey is looking for Acupuncturist, Birth Doula
|
Location: Myrtle Beach, SC 29588, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: May 25, 2026
In need of doula services for going into labor and delivery. Previous back surgery and hardware in my back yet I was able to deliver naturally with my first. It still was somewhat traumatic in a lot of ways like giving birth on my back, pain, blood loss and tearing. They kept me for almost 4 days to make sure I was okay. I came out of it pretty dizzy and almost fainting trying to walk to the bathroom. If there is any additional support I can get I need to try. Budget is around 500-1000. Hopefully insurance or payment plans are available. Im also looking for an acupuncturist to manage my pain. I have a toddler at home that will be missing her mommy if I cant show up for her and new baby as need be. Breastfeeding also puts me in severe pain with my back and I need to be able to manage it postpartum with continuing treatment. So far ive had medical massage 3 times with my pregnancy to manage my sciatica and it has helped immensely. Looking to expand on my pain management in these last 2 months and going forward with the right guidance and someone with years of experience. |

I plan to give birth at the hospital, I already had one baby but my experience in birth was really bad I wan someone that knows about birth that can fight and care for my needs My in-laws at giving me this experience away so I’m not really sure what is their budget I want to have golden hour skin to skin with my baby, delay the cut of the umbilical cord, they are my priorities, and I want to learn about breast feeding, with my first we didn’t have the support we wanted at the hospital with this and didn’t know how to get it so I couldn’t breastfeed. It’s really important to me being able to do this for my second baby |

|
Location: Summerville, SC 29485, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: November 25, 2026
I need someone who believes in Jesus Christ & leads me in faith & covers me in prayer, instead of filling my head up with a bunch of fears. I need someone who is well educated in child birth. I need someone who is kind & loves my unborn child. I need someone who is willing to come to my home because I want to give birth at home. My birth plan is to hopefully give birth to a healthy child with very minimal tearing. Only thing I want to do is cut the chord (delayed). No vaccines, no bath, no vitamin K. I will be breast feeding so education in lactation would be very helpful as well. |

This is my first baby and would love to have a doula to ease my worries of my first baby especially giving at birth at a hospital. We have tricare so whatever is allowed with the insurance works for us. For my birth plan, I want a doula to help me and my husband navigate the hospital setting where we aren’t being rushed and intimidated. We want to do delayed cord clamping, no bath right away and trying to give birth upright. |
