Nikita Johnson is a graduate of The National College of Midwifery and is currently preparing to sit for her Midwifery Certification Exam in Spring 2025. She has received hands-on training under the direct supervision of Certified Nurse Midwife Bayla Berkowitz at a homebirth midwifery practice in Pikesville, MD. Nikita has also studied with respected midwives Monika Karaosman at Althea Midwifery in Berlin, MD, and Maureen McIver in Westminster, MD. Nikita Johnson brings over five years of homebirth experience, including three years as a Homebirth Assistant and Student Midwife. Prior to this, she spent six years as a Certified Obstetrics Surgical Technologist, gaining extensive hospital-based labor and delivery experience before retiring from that role. Since 2019, she has been a highly regarded birth rights doula in the DMV area, known for her assertive advocacy and commitment to helping clients navigate the complexities of the Western healthcare system. Tiara is the owner of Crowned & Crowned. She founded the company following a traumatic birth experience in an effort to heal and give back to women like her. She is a licensed nurse, trained doula and fertility coach, and board certified lactation consultant. She is a self proclaimed "book worm", and constantly is found reading books or listening to podcasts that challenge her to dig deeper and learn more. This has opened doors for her in the arenas of public speaking, advocacy, and business coaching. Tiara values her life experiences and uses them as reference points to better serve her clients. As a mother of five children, her "on the job" experience has allowed her to meet her clients where they are, and give them a honest and transparent perspective of what to expect. After two pregnancy losses, both with no prior preparations followed by two successful pregnancies, both with months of conception preparations, I became a strong believer in the healing power of food as medicine. Hello my name is Anyi (Angie) I am a mom of 2 little gentleman and 1 little princess. I am happily married with my husband almost 10+ thank God for my family. My first pregnancy was tough I was far from family member. It was just my husband and I wish I had a doula to feel that comfort and joy that we were expecting. I don't want anyone to feel that way. It's amazing to be able to carry a little one in our belly's. My other two pregnancy I had different injuries, when your pregnancy there so much we need to be careful about and when I was in the park I hurt my legs because there was a metal pole where I couldn't see it because my belly was big. Lastly I had broken my pelvic. Thank God I am heal from everything that has happened to me. I was still able to give birth naturally 3 times. The first 1 with Epidural.. I have learn so much about Nutrition, how to increase breast milk. How to prevent injuries how to prevent miscarriages. How to stay fit while pregnant and how to have a smooth labor and recovery. I have learn massage for lower back pain. I don't have my credentials but I have more experience and have helped many women. I hope that I can help you too!
