My wife and I are expecting our first child in Late September. We have family here in the valley but we've been advised on the benefits of hiring a doula for both the birthing and postpartum phases. My wife has expressed to me the difficulties she's had with managing anxieties about things that can go wrong so any resources we can use to prepare for both pre and post partum depression would be something we're interested in too. We'd like to have those resources identified and ready to take advantage of before we need them. We are currently planning on scheduling the birth at IMC.

I plan to give birth in a hospital with minimal interventions. No epidural, giving birth in whatever position feels right, and being able to eat and drink water. Budget unsure, but preferably $5000 or less.

Giving birth at IMC in Murray, in June, to a little boy! Willing to be a bit flexible in cost depending on what’s offered. Don’t really know the average. I want help creating a birth plan if possible. I know some things I want (golden hour, natural as much/long as possible, not to a miserable point though, etc) but also would love to be educated on my options. Would love to be educated or guided through laboring and birthing positions, breathing techniques, just really any tips or tricks as a first time mom, I am super interested in ways my partner can help/ be included especially during labor and birth, etc. Would love someone who can help with peace of mind around vaccine do’s and don’t’s, nursing tips, etc. Overall just want someone to help calm the anxiety of all the new unknowns and make me feel more safe and confident!

Hi - Looking for two types of Doulas: 1. A birthing doula to support me during labor. I plan on getting an epidural so I would want the doula to be supportive of that choice. 2. A postpartum doula who can both emotionally support me after delivery and who can help watch the baby at night. I plan on delivering at St Mark's Hospital. I have the Carrot benefit program so I would want a doula who is covered under those benefits.

Plan to give birth at Alta view hospital with minimal interventions and monitoring as needed. Tub laboring and nitrous oxide for pain management. Its my 2nd baby. I had a 2nd degree episiotomy done with my 1st and want to prevent tearing or a second episiotomy. I did fully unmedicated with my first but wished I had access to nitrous oxide to help relax a little from contractions but I did not and do not want an epidural. I want someone who is helpful and suggests movement and positions to help and someone who can explain medical decisions better if they come up and are needed. I want someone more proactive but not pushy. Someone who can help tell my husband what he can do to help in counter pressure and other methods. I have utah select health medicaid and am looking for a doula covered by medicaid.

I plan to give birth at the Riverton Hospital. I have a low budget, hoping to use a sliding scale or get a discount. I am looking at $1000. I used epidurals my first two labors/delivieries but I am wanting to go the more "natural" route this time around and am looking for support in that.

I would love to do a home birth, or a birthing center. But most midwives don’t accept Medicaid. So I’m trying to find ones that do. I am 9 weeks pregnant on Sunday. My budget is under 5,000 if I can find a good midwife who can also do payment plans. I want a very hands off birth. I don’t like a lot of intervention. I like to do my own thing and only want help if I need it. It’s important to me to have a midwife that has faith in God and is fearless to help me also feel that way during birth. I don’t want vaccines.
