This will be my second birth. My first one was 34 hours of labour then failure to progress at 7cm and resulted in a c-section. I would like to try for a VBAC this time and would like support with that. Victoria general hospital. I don’t know what a doula costs so unsure on budget
Hi there, I am enquiring about my options, seeing what is available to make my first birth smooth. I plan to give birth at the hospital, looking into a c-section delivery. Live in a condo at bear mountain with my partner.
I plan to give birth at NRGH and my family doctor is an OBGYN so he will be my provider throught my pregnancy. I hope to give birth vaginally with some kind of medical pain management however its important to me that I be able to move around and Id rather not give birth on my back. Im looking into doula support because I would like to have help advocating for myself and some guidance through the birth process. I am historically a pretty anxious person and have previously experienced pregnancy loss. I dont exactly know what budget I should have Im just trying to get a read on prices? I dont have a whole lot of expendable income and would be absolutely willing to have a new/student doula. My sibling is a new doula and Ive seen how hard it was for them to get the first couple families so I have a soft spot for those starting out!
This is my first pregnancy and I’m still in the very early stages, so I’m looking for someone who is highly knowledgeable, experienced, and well-educated who can help guide me through the process. I don’t have a birth plan yet and haven’t decided where I would like to give birth. I’d love someone who can educate me on my options, answer my questions, help me understand what to expect, and support me in making informed decisions as my pregnancy progresses. It’s also really important to me that I find someone I feel genuinely comfortable with and can trust—someone warm, supportive, and easy to talk to. I’m open to discussing budget based on experience and the services offered.
Staying with kids overnight / bit of cooking experience
Second baby. Looking for night support to take care of newborn including feeding etc. With experienced only. For approximately one week
I believe in natural childbirth and want zero intervention. I plan to give birth in Richmond hospital. I have given birth twice: 1) a healthy vaginal birth and 2) pre term birth at 19 weeks. This is my third birth, second child. I studied hypnobirthing and want to practice it throughout birth.
Hi everyone, I am looking for an experienced birth doula to support me during my upcoming delivery. I will be giving birth at Richmond Birth Centre and am looking for someone who: • Has solid experience supporting births and is comfortable with early labour, active labour and postpartum support • Lives in or is very close to Richmond and can provide reliable, short notice/on-call support when labour begins • Is fully vaccinated and up to date with routine vaccinations • Is calm, supportive and reassuring, especially for a first-time mother who may need some extra emotional reassurance • Is available for birth support on an hourly basis, as I would prefer to pay based on the actual hours of support rather than a fixed package • Is also available for overnight newborn/postpartum support after the birth My preference would be to start with birth support on an hourly basis. If we are a good fit and I am happy with the support, I would be interested in continuing with the same doula for overnight postpartum/newborn support during the first few weeks. If you are available and meet these requirements, please message me with your experience, hourly rate, availability around my due date, vaccination status and how your on-call arrangement works. Thank you!

I plan to give birth at BC Womens Hospital with a midwife. My budget for a doula is up to $2,000 maximum. I would like to stay home as long as possible before heading to the hospital for delivery. I don't have too many preferences for the provider, but it would be nice if they had experienced labour so they can guide me. I am 30, first time pregnancy, looking for emotional support and someone to be my advocate if needed.
I wish to hire a certified birth doula for my first birth. I am due on October 31, 2026, and I will be delivering at BC Women's Hospital. I am working with Strathcona Midwifery Collective for my prenatal care. I am planning on a low-intervention vaginal birth, if possible. I am particularly interested in birth prep and support throughout the birth process. I interested in exploring the tub birth options at the hospital. I am also interested in assistance/coaching with breastfeeding and learning more about lactation consulting, in case I need these services once my baby is born. Thanks!
Vancouver First baby Care for 6 weeks Daytime for 4-6 hours
First baby, giving birth in Vancouver, BC. Trying to go unmedicated but open to whatever the situation requires. Would like to avoid induction and minimized tearing (wouldn’t we all!). 38 years old.
HI, my husband and I are planning to deliver at BR Women's Hospital. The expected due date is Dec 24th. We live in Burnaby, close to Metrotown. Our budget is somewhat flexible but preferably within 1000-1500. We do not yet have a birth plan. That's something we hope the doula would help us with since we are both first time parents and don't really have a ton of knowledge on the whole birthing thing. We are hoping to work with someone who can prepare the both of us for what's to come - share knowledge, skills, answer questions and support.
