About me
My name is Samra Idris, and I am a certified birth and postpartum doula with experience supporting mothers, newborns, and families during the postpartum period. I am also a mother of four children, which has given me deep personal understanding of the physical and emotional needs families experience after welcoming a new baby. In addition to my doula training, I have experience working in childcare and supporting infants and young children in a safe and nurturing environment. My approach is calm, compassionate, and family-centered. I believe every family deserves support without judgment, and I strive to create a peaceful environment where parents can rest, recover, and feel confident caring for their baby. I enjoy helping with newborn soothing, overnight support, feeding support, and emotional encouragement for parents during the transition into parenthood. I speak both Arabic and English, which allows me to support families from diverse backgrounds and help them feel comfortable and understood.
