We are first-time parents in San Francisco expecting our daughter any day now (due February 2026). We are looking for an experienced and affordable postpartum doula to help with newborn care. Our primary need is daytime support 3 days per week for about 5 hours per session during the weekdays. We would also love the option for occasional overnight shifts of 6-8 hours when needed. We’d love someone warm, patient, and great with first-time parents who can help us learn soothing techniques, establish healthy sleep habits, and support breastfeeding and bottle feeding. Ideally looking to start within the first week after birth and continue for 8-10 weeks . Our budget is $30-$40 per hour. Hospital birth. We also have two friendly dogs in the home so someone comfortable around pets is a plus.

I am looking for a postpartum doula with experience supporting families beyond the immediate newborn stage, ideally someone with at least a few years of experience and a calm, non-judgmental approach. It’s important that they are comfortable supporting a combination of breastfeeding, pumping, and bottle feeding without a rigid philosophy.
