We plan to give birth at a hospital (Kaiser in Redwood City). I'm looking for options that will be 100% covered by our Kaiser health insurance. My birth plan is flexible. Ideally I would prefer an unmedicated VBAC birth, but is flexible if induction or C-section is required. Would be helpful to have a doula that is also well-versed in sleep training. My first required 100% contact naps until they were sleep trained at 5 months old. I have Kaiser HMO

We plan to give birth at Stanford Children's hospital. This is our second child and we would like to do a natural birth again. For our first son's birth, we had a doula who helped with breathing, positioning, encouragement, and support during birth process. Our insurance is BlueShield of California. We are also interested in looking into a postpartum doula depending on pricing

Hello, My name is Adèle and I’m currently expecting my first child, due August 23. My partner, Lucas, and I live in the Mission in San Francisco and are currently looking for a doula to support us during birth and postpartum period. We are planning a hospital birth through Kaiser at the Redwood City Birth Center, and ideally are looking someone in-network with Kaiser and able to accept Carrot benefits. A little about us: we’re a French/German-American couple in our 30s, and this is our first baby. I tend to be thoughtful and preparation-oriented, and I’m looking for someone calm, grounded, emotionally attuned, and experienced supporting first-time parents. My hope is for a supportive and relatively low-intervention birth experience if medically appropriate, while staying flexible and pragmatic (not too attached to anything). I would love someone who can help us feel informed, supported, and steady throughout labor and the early postpartum transition. I am giving birth at a hospital and would like to have a natural birth without an epidural if possible. I want to have the freedom to move around and walk, stretch, shower to distract my mind versus being stuck to the bed after a shot. I would like to support in what moves and stretches to achieve this goal.

I am looking for a doula that can support me during birth and postpartum. I am located in Alameda and will likely be giving birth at the San Leandro Kaiser or Oakland Kaiser if I find the right doula. I currently have Kaiser and have confirmed that my insurance does cover doula support. I plan on birthing at the hospital, and I will be using pain medication to support me. I'm mostly looking for advocacy due to a traumatic birth experience at Kaiser Oakland, where they kept trying to push a C-section and tore my water without consent.
