I am looking for a postpartum night doula who could care for our baby for the initial 4-6 weeks.
Overnight Night Nanny / Infant Caregiver Location: Los Gatos, CA Start Date: February 1, 2027 Schedule: 5 nights/week (Sun–Thu) | 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Open to tapering hours in Months 2 & 3 as baby's sleep matures) Pay Rate: $25.00 – $35.00/hour DOE (Direct, independent hire — no agencies, please) Requirements Experience: 5+ years caring for newborns during overnight shifts (stellar references required). Certifications: Current Infant CPR & First Aid. TrustLine: California TrustLine registered (or willing to register prior to start). Health & Safety: Non-smoker; fully up-to-date on TDAP, Flu, and COVID vaccines. Core Responsibilities Overnight Newborn Care: Promptly attending to baby upon waking, bottle feeding (expressed milk), bringing baby to mom for direct nursing, diaper changes, and soothing back to sleep. Nightly Logging: Tracking sleep, feeds, and diaper counts. Baby Care Prep: Washing/sterilizing bottles and pump parts; managing baby laundry. Note: Strictly zero non-baby household chores or adult cleaning required.
We want a night nurse who can come for the first six weeks of the baby's life for eight to ten hours a night, five to seven days a week. We live in Soquel, California. And it would be great if they are, I don't care to CPR certified and have experience as a night nurse. I don't know, I feel like you should tell me these things. And yes, clean the nursery, feed the baby, do light laundry or tasks, and be a kind, normal person.
We are expecting twins later this fall and we are hoping to find the right person to join our support team! Though they are due late November, they will most likely arrive in early November. We are looking for support to help us get some sleep during the early days so we have energy to care for our 2.5 year old during the day. I plan to breastfeed and would like support on middle of the night feeds and getting the babies on similar sleep schedules.
