Hello, I'm planning on delivering at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA. This will be my 3rd birth and aiming for a VBAC (first was vaginal after several days of induction and long labor in 2022 and second was C-section after several days of induction and short period of pushing in 2024). My current doctor (used for my first birth) fully supports/encourages my choice for a VBAC. I am planning to get an epidural if possible and would like guidance with using a peanut ball and laboring in different positions instead of only delivering on my back. I may want to try all-fours on the bed or side-lying with one leg supported. I also prefer for the placenta to remain attached until it stops pulsating. My estimated budget for doula support in Richmond, VA is around $800–$1,200 depending on what is included. I currently have Blue Cross Blue Shield FEP (lowest plan) and would like to know if any portion can be reimbursed.

I will be giving birth and Sentara hospital in Woodbridge. I would like to attempt an unmendicated VBAC (previous C-section because of placenta Previa).
