looking for a doula and postpartum doula (maybe nightime support), for a disabled mother (incomplete paraplegia). She walks with crutches but has a wheelchair. I plan to give birth in the midwifery unit of the MedStar Washington Hospital in Washington DC. I am looking to have as few interventions as possible and plan to birth unmedicated. I would strongly prefer a doula of Christian faith, though shared faith is not a requirement. I’m only interested in doulas with experience in a hospital setting and would prefer a doula with at least 3 years of experience. Ideally, my doula would also be able to take photographs periodically throughout labour and delivery, though I know this may not be likely. I am not interested in postpartum care.
