No birth experience is the same; everyone’s experience is unique to them. So the supports I offer are conducive to your experience, your needs, your journey. Examples of support though: ~ unpacking your birth story (debriefing) ~ promoting oxytocin ~ assisting with bonding ~ advocating & supporting your parenting philosophy ~ strength-based/client-led dialogue ~ newborn care ~ wellbeing support ~ exploring any new transition tensions (marital, sibling) ~ … & more I value postpartum care to no end, it is at the heart of postpartum doulas’ work. I mean parents are experiencing one of the biggest transformative events in their lives… As your postpartum doula I am here now, I am here later. We may meet prenatally, we may meet postnatally. I am here as little, or as much as you need. If you view postpartum as forty days, perfect.
