Kaiser for giving birth and I have medical insurance. This is also my first baby
Looking for short term doula (1 week or less) must be in network with United
I am looking for a doula that can support me during birth and postpartum. I am located in Alameda and will likely be giving birth at the San Leandro Kaiser or Oakland Kaiser if I find the right doula. I currently have Kaiser and have confirmed that my insurance does cover doula support. I plan on birthing at the hospital, and I will be using pain medication to support me. I'm mostly looking for advocacy due to a traumatic birth experience at Kaiser Oakland, where they kept trying to push a C-section and tore my water without consent.

My due date is 12/7/26 in Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley. I would like support during birth and postpartum as well. Thank you,

Reaching out to see if you have availability to support our due date: July 30th, 2026. We are planning for an unmedicated hospital birth at Kaiser Oakland and are interested in in-person doula support. It’s our first baby! We’re hoping for support in preparing thoughtful and flexible birth preferences ahead of time, comfort and education throughout labor/birth, helping to hold our birth plan with the medical team during labor/birth, and guiding us through the unpredictability of labor so we can stay present with eachother/body/baby and make informed decisions as they come. Also curious about your openness to capture photo/video during birth. We are also interested in postpartum support, though we’re still learning and exploring what might be most resourcing, but are especially interested in breastfeeding support, settling into life at home, and support with my physical recovery. Curious about meal support in the first week. We’d love to learn more about Your availability to support a July 30th due date Confirmation that you would be available to support in-person for labor and birth Back-up plan/support if the baby comes earlier/later than due date, if you happen to be unavailable Confirmation that the doula is contracted directly with Kaiser Out of pocket cost(s) and reimbursement/billing process using Kaiser insurance If it feels aligned, we’d be happy to set up a time to connect by phone. We look forward to hearing from you! Warmly, Haley & Jesse (502)-387-9490

I plan to give birth at Alta bates hospital. Hoping to keep our budget at or under $2000. I want a medicated vaginal birth. Ideally someone with at least 3-5 years of experience but the more the better.
1. Provider Requirements I am looking for a professional overnight postpartum doula or newborn care specialist. The provider must hold an active doula or newborn care certification from a recognized certifying body (such as DONA, CAPPA, or ProDoula) and have a minimum of two years of professional experience. They must also maintain active CPR/Basic Life Support certification covering infant and pediatric care, carry active professional liability insurance, and be registered with TrustLine (or willing to undergo a comprehensive background check with verifiable references). The provider must be fully up-to-date on all standard vaccinations, including TDAP, MMR, and the seasonal flu vaccine. Preference will be given to providers who are fluent in Mandarin as a second language, and who hold additional credentials in infant feeding support (such as a Certified Lactation Counselor or equivalent experience). 2. Care Recipient Details The care recipient will be our first baby (a newborn). As first-time parents, we are looking for a reliable, nurturing professional to manage typical nighttime care. The baby will require standard newborn care throughout the night, including timed or on-demand feedings, soothing, and diaper changes. 3. Additional Duties The primary focus is overnight infant care and implementing healthy, gentle sleep-shaping habits (focusing on evidence-based soothing rather than rigid sleep training). Additional duties include light, baby-related household tasks directly tied to nighttime operations, specifically washing, sterilizing, and prepping bottles and pump parts so they are entirely ready for the next day. 4. Estimated Budget Our estimated total budget for this postpartum support is $15,000. 5. Insurance and Benefits Provider We do not expect traditional medical insurance to cover this care. Instead, this will be funded and processed via our Carrot Fertility employer-sponsored benefit program. We will require the selected provider or agency to be registered (or willing to register) in the Carrot provider database, and to supply clear, itemized invoices/superbills featuring their formal certification number so we can seamlessly submit them for reimbursement or utilize our Carrot Card."
We are looking for someone who can provide overnight support to our family 3ish nights a week. We have a newborn who just arrived about a month earlier than expected. She’s just a few days old and is an only child. So far she’s a champ—our main priority is just getting her weight up and helping her figure out feeding. We would love someone who can help support us as we transition to becoming parents and who can offer us a few more opportunities for rest. Help with washing bottles, small meal/snack prep, newborn laundry would be a plus but not required. Budget is flexible, but we are hoping to spend around $70/hr for several weeks. We are a queer, multiracial-racial family. So it is incredibly important for us to work with someone who has experience with and affirms all kinds of families. It is very important to us that everyone who comes into our home feels respected and welcome.

I am located in Southern California in the Irvine area. My husband is in the military and is currently deployed. He most likely will not be able to be at the birth of our son. Because of that I will be giving birth in Napa California at Queen of the valley hospital. I have tricare and hope to get the doula services covered through my insurance. I am a first time mom so I do not currently have a birth plan per se so I am hoping the doula could help me. I am 24 years old and like I said this is my very first baby so anything helps.
Making sure we are doing things in the right way, like changing diapers, putting her to sleep, feeding amount etc.
