1 week old unable to latch. In person or drive up works . Virtual not preferred
I tried to breastfeed my last child but she absolutely wouldn’t latch. [personal details hidden] so she wouldn’t latch without a nipple shield that was too painful to use. I tried to pump but [personal details hidden], [personal details hidden]. I don’t know if I was just doing it wrong or if I just didn’t have any milk. Because I don’t know what I was doing wrong, I don’t know how to do it right this time round. I think I need a prenatal appnt to figure out how to size everything right, methods, nipple healing when it hurts too much, tools and products to use. I don’t even know how much milk I should be able to get out in the first weeks or how to store and make use of pumped milk because I never got the chance to learn it. I’d like someone experienced and gentle. I don’t do well with blunt, tough love, especially postpartum. Lower budget would be nice but I don’t have much idea of what a consultant costs
First baby and planning to birth in a hospital but with as minimal intervention as possible.
I’m having a hard time getting my baby to latch and stay latched. So I have been supplementing with formula and I’m concerned it’s making things worse. Also pumping has been uncomfortable and I am currently dealing with engorgement.
Newborn lactation consultant support. In-home services preferred starting the week of October 19
Hello! I am looking for an experienced birth doula, ideally with postpartum and/or lactation expertise, who can provide in-person support for an upcoming mama of 3 due in February 2027! My Christian faith is very important to me and my family so I'd like to work with someone who has a relationship with [name hidden] and is comfortable with how I want to integrate my faith into my birthing experience. I am planning for a hospital birth in Columbia, Maryland but aim to have an unmedicated experience, if possible. I look forward to speaking with you and thanks in advance for your thoughtful consideration! Thank you for all that you do to support women and babies!
I would like to find a consultant that takes Cigna insurance and can help me with milk production and latching. Our baby came at 37 weeks and [personal details hidden] so I’d like to get help with switching from formula to breast feeding. I have been pumping.
Hi. I am looking for help with breastfeeding and pumping for my newborn son. He nurses frequently and has plenty of wet diapers, but my pumping output varies. Sometimes I get a few ounces and other times only drops, which makes me worry about my supply. I would like help checking his latch and making sure he is getting enough milk. I also need help with flange sizing, pump settings, and a pumping routine that works with my school schedule. Please let me know your availability, visit options, pricing, and whether you accept insurance.
This is my 3 third pregnancy [personal details hidden]. This is very different to my first with my son 8 years ago. Looking for more guidance this go around. Someone to help me more holistically and support more and my husband through this. I want to prep for birth and postpartum as Early as possible. I'm due July 2027. I'm not 100% sure of my birth plan but hope to find someone to help.
Almost two week old that still won’t latch. Gets frustrated at the breast. Sometimes will latch for a quick second but it’s very shallow and without any milk transfer. Would like in person visit. Under $200
First child, giving birth at GBMC in Baltimore, MD. Would like to go as long as possible without an epidural to prioritize movement, but definitely plan on getting said epidural and no desire or need to go fully natural. Would like as much education as support for going into birth, how my husband can support me (counterpressure, advocacy for a generally go-with-the-flow personality, etc.) breastfeeding (a huge goal is to exclusively breastfeed as long as possible, but my mom had to supplement with formula so I'm worried I will have to as well), postpartum, and in general what me and my husband can expect. Unsure of any budget, what is standard/reasonable, if insurances covers such a services, etc.
Painful feeds and raw nipples. It hurts so bad to feed.
[personal details hidden] and i feed her but lumps are still there
my baby is 5 days old, will latch good sometimes, sometimes won’t latch at all, especially at night. feeds can be super short sometimes and she will unlatch herself
First baby, planning for a birth with medication as needed, seeking support 36-40 weeks to reduce discomfort from working on my feet and prep for labor. My husband will also be present for birth. I’m planning to give birth at Mercy Hospital. I have Tricare Select and want to use my coverage for 6 hours of support. I don’t have much of a budget otherwise.
First baby to be delivered in DC at Sibleys hospital. Looking for someone to support me during the birth as I would like to have a natural birth. Budget is under 1200
First baby, hospital birth at Georgetown. Would like to labor naturally as long as possible but I am not totally against pain relief. Would love a doula who can support me in different positioning, hip squeezes etc and help me exercise my full agency during birth. It’s important to me to find someone who is a blend of holistic care and Western medicine. We’d also love for our doula to help us a bit after birth with postpartum and newborn care. Tri-Care East (Humana military) will cover the six hours worth of visits + one untimed visit for birth so we need someone who is a participant with them. After that our budget for postpartum/newborn support is $1,000 but we are open to discussing that further.
I’m really nervous about labor and delivery. I want an epidural and am good with medical intervention. I’m nervous that my husband won’t be calm during the birthing process. I need someone who can help me be calm through it and help coach my husband through it. I also am nervous about being very vulnerable during birth and consent is very important for me and want to make sure I feel comfortable and not taken advantage of. Giving birth at Sibley I’m also very nervous about postpartum. This is my first pregnancy
Birth plan, and services in labor and delivery room
I am looking for a doula to have guidance on having a mother vaginal birth following [personal details hidden]. I want to avoid that happening again and especially avoid that healing process I had to go through with my little boy.
