Shakira was truly the most attentive, involved and helpful person through my pregnancy and birthing journey. I only wish we had more time with her through the process and didn’t find her so late in y pregnancy. After waiting and passing my babies initial birth date, Shakira worked with me and got my water to brea and the labor going. I went through labor at the birth center and she was literally with me every step just as exhausted and then I was transferred to the hospital where she continued to assist through my labor and birthing up until I needed to have a c section. This is my first baby and I went through so many obstacles and mostly the opposite of everything I wanted to happen but can say that Shakira was one of the best parts. I’d 100% suggest you trust her to help you through this journey. If I were to have another child, I would deff be giving her a call. 🩷

What is a doula?

A doula is a trained professional who provides emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after birth. I do not replace your medical provider; instead, I work alongside your care team to help you feel informed, supported, and empowered in your choices.

When should I hire a doula?

The earlier the better! Many families book during pregnancy so we have time to build trust, discuss your birth preferences, and prepare together. However, I also accept clients later in pregnancy based on availability.

Do you only support natural births?

No. I support all birth choices and experiences, including unmedicated births, epidurals, inductions, cesarean births, VBACs, and planned/unplanned cesareans. My role is to provide support, education, and advocacy for the birth experience that is right for you.

Do you work with hospitals, birth centers, and home births?

Yes. I support families across different birth settings and collaborate respectfully with your chosen care team.

Do you replace my partner or support person?

Absolutely not. I believe birth partners are an important part of the experience. I work alongside your partner by providing guidance, comfort techniques, and reassurance so they feel confident supporting you.

What is placenta encapsulation?

Placenta encapsulation is the process of preparing a client’s placenta according to their chosen method and placing it into capsules. I also offer keepsake options to honor this part of your journey.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Payment options are available to make doula support more accessible. We can discuss options during your consultation.

How do I book a consultation?
