Shauna was absolutely extraordinary in our experience with child birth. A few words that come to mind for her are, professionalism, honesty and integrity. Every step of the way, she was with us as we brought our little girl into the world and laid a foundation that made everything we thought we knew and that we didn’t that much easier to understand. Shauna is the epitome of what it means to be a doula, as a father I can say she showed superior support to my wife and gave her the confidence for an all natural birth. Shauna will be with me for every birth! As a FTM I don’t think I could have done it without her. Her care transformed my birth story. During pregnancy she was constantly checking in on me. During labor, her support got me through the toughest back contractions and 54 hours of labor. The best part of having Shauna on my team was the postpartum support. She again was constantly checking in on me and baby. She answered all of my questions with care and love. You want Shauna on your side!

Shauna was absolutely amazing throughout our entire birth experience, and we truly could not have asked for a better doula. From the very beginning, she was supportive, caring, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made us feel comfortable, heard, and reassured every step of the way. One of the things I am most grateful for was how Shauna helped make sure our voices were heard. When I was sent for an early induction at 37 weeks—something I personally felt wasn’t necessary—Shauna never made the decision for me. Instead, she helped me understand my options, ask the right questions, advocate for myself, and feel confident in making an informed decision that felt right for me and my family. She gave me the confidence to recognize when I was no longer comfortable with my provider and office and ultimately make the difficult decision to leave and seek care elsewhere. That decision led us to an incredible experience with our second provider and hospital, where we felt respected, supported, and truly listened to. I honestly don’t know if I would have had the confidence to make that change without Shauna’s guidance and support. She supported not only me, but my husband as well, making sure we both felt confident, informed, and involved throughout the entire process. Her calm presence, compassion, and ability to advocate alongside us made such a meaningful difference. Shauna went above and beyond for our family, and we will always be grateful that she was there during such an important and emotional time in our lives. She helped us feel empowered rather than overwhelmed, and she reminded us that we deserved to have a voice in our own birth experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend Shauna to anyone looking for a doula who is compassionate, knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in her clients. Shauna was amazing! What helped me make my decision to work with Shauna was the amount of visits she includes. Unlike other doulas I interviewed she visits 3 different times during your pregnancy. This was huge for me since I wanted to have a more personal relationship with my doula before having them in the room during the most vulnerable time of my life, child birth! Shauna was very responsive to messages, even ones I thought I should know or may be silly. The home visits were always friendly and informative. Never lasting less than an hour and half. She really made you feel important and the center of her focus! She has checked in multiple times during postpartum and making sure we're all doing well and offering help. Because I had a precipitous labor and delivered in the car, Shauna did not make it in time for delivery (parking lot baby). Shauna coached me on the phone through each contraction and reassuring me of what my body is capable of. Shauna was there for me all day through my pre labor, breakfast and long walks through the store. She was there for me during my false water break early on and met me at my Dr whenever I needed her. Shauna Davis Doula is highly recommended by me and I plan to use her again for any future babies. BONUS: She loves dogs and even brought my guys treats on more than one occasion!

Shauna is amazing! She recently helped us welcome our healthy baby boy at home, and the experience was wonderful. She is incredibly knowledgeable, exceptionally reliable, and always quick to respond to a text or call. Shauna goes out of her way to add thoughtful touches to her care that build great trust and rapport. During the delivery, she was a steady presence and supported me perfectly from start to finish. We used Shauna for our first baby in July and I don’t know what we would have done without her. She answered any and all questions I had during my pregnancy, and was willing to do anything to help when needed. She had all the tips and tricks I needed to feel as comfortable as possible. During the home visits before the baby was born, she went over everything that could happen and that might come up so we felt prepared for those things. During labor and delivery a lot of things happened that scared me, and the doctors were making things worse. They didn’t have great bedside manner. If Shauna wasn’t there to calm me down I don’t know how I would have felt. When everything is going wrong you just need a calm in the storm and that’s what she was form me. Her being that calm when I needed it most made her service very valued and much needed. She also knew all the right things to say and do during contractions. This empowered me to tell my husband how to do those same things. She even made a postpartum visit, and still texts to check in with us 2 months postpartum! I would recommend Shauna to anyone looking for a calm, supportive, and informed doula!

My wife and I had a fantastic experience with Shauna as our doula! This was our first child and having Shauna as a support and resource during the pregnancy was both helpful and reassuring. Our birth experience proved to be unideal in several ways, but Shauna was with us through all of it. Shauna joined us very late on our second pregnancy journey. She was so supportive and knowledgeable being still one of her first Doula clients! When it came time for delivery she was calm and supportive throughout the entire process and so mindful of my birth wants and desires with having to go to a plan B option already with an induction. The nurses all came in after Shauna left the hospital and just raved about her demeanor and techniques through the birthing process and could not believe she had only been to a few other births prior to mine! I would highly recommend Shauna!

Shauna was fantastic. Would strongly recommend having a doula for birth in general, and can personally recommend Shauna based on our own experience. She cares so much for you, it is not just a client relationship. We had a rather long labor, and Shauna was with us for almost 24 hours straight, until Baby arrived and we were settled. She is calm and was very good at recommending the next exercise/activity/rest option to help us cope with and move labor along. As it was our first birth, we both had our own insecurities and uncertainties of what to expect. Having Shauna there helped both of us relax, rest as needed, and we got the homebirth we were aiming for.
