Hello, my name is Shawna Slaughter, RN, BSN, is the founder of The Gentle Fourth and your dedicated postpartum support & newborn care specialist. With a nursing background of over 25+ years in pediatric and labor & delivery care, I blend clinical knowledge with deeply nurturing support for families during the fourth trimester. My mission is simple: To nurture a new phase, one gentle moment at a time If you or anyone you know is currently pregnant and require care during the fourth trimester please reach out. The Gentle Fourth, led by an RN and Certified Breastfeeding Counselor (CBC), offers compassionate, evidence-based postpartum and newborn care support for families navigating the fourth trimester. Services include in-home day and overnight care, newborn care, feeding support, in-depth breastfeeding education and counseling, parent education, emotional support, and practical household help — all designed to help families rest, feel confident, and ease into this new chapter.
