I’m interested in getting a doula, still learning about this process. Plan to have birth at hospital and would like additional support for labor as I have lots of questions. After having baby want to ensure I’m set for success and things are good. I struggle with anxiety and depression but breastfeeding is very important and my hope is that I can do that.

I plan to give birth in a hospital and due to some mental and physical health challenges I feel, from my research, that a doula would be the way to go. This is my first pregnancy and I don’t know what to expect. I’m not even sure where to start with budget. I’m on the lower income side so I’m not sure if I can even afford doula services. My ideal birth plan is to labor in a hospital, with as little pain as possible, however we need to make that happen. I have an extreme fear of childbirth.

This is my first pregnancy and both my partner and I will be first time parents. I’m looking for help understanding my body as baby and I continue to grow. I live far from my mother and sisters so it’s a very emotional time without that support. I would love to learn new things for baby safety, feeding, sleep as well as what’s good for me as I’m nourishing myself and baby. Our first birth plan is to be very intimate and peaceful but my partner can also use some understanding and learning points for how to support, and where, at the time of birth. Once baby arrives, my partner won’t have the opportunity to be home with us long, and I’m planning to be home for 2 months postpartum. We would absolutely love the night support and the continuous learning. We have family support but we really want the first week to be only us and baby, as well as have strong boundaries with family about baby with hygiene and safety so this is where the help would come in. I feel like there is more to discuss to better understand match, but I am still very new!
