I plan to give birth at a hospital in Nashville. Since our insurance does not cover a doula our estimated budget is $1000. I am not sure exactly what my birth plan will be. With a medical condition I think I do plan to get the epidural at some point. I do want delayed cord clamping, no eyedrops, and minimal interventions. I want my provider to be certified and have experience helping first time moms that do not deal with pain well. I am 25 and possible have POTS or Vasovagal syncopy. I would love someone who also is a lactation consultant
I’m gonna give birth in Lawrenceburg, TN , would like to have a laboring pool
My ob delivers at Maury Regional I don’t necessarily even know what a doula runs cost wise I feel like any number I posted would be insulting to the profession. My sole purpose of hiring a doula is because I want to deliver with no epidural. I’d like to go into labor on my own as well but I’m not sure with this being my fourth child that my OB will go for that I’m not attached to any birth plan I fully understand things can change in a instant. Outside of a c section I have experienced. Induction via Pitocin which lead to an epidural with my last 3 children. With my first I had an episiotomy that was not enjoyable for my recovery and I would like to avoid that if at all possible.
I am planning to give birth at the TriStar Hendersonville Birth Center in Hendersonville, TN. My goal is an unmedicated vaginal birth, and I am looking for a doula who can provide continuous emotional and physical support throughout labor. I would love help with breathing techniques, relaxation, movement, positioning, counter-pressure, and other comfort measures to help me manage labor without medication. I want to feel calm, informed, empowered, and supported while also remaining flexible if unexpected circumstances arise. I am looking for someone who is encouraging, patient, knowledgeable, and experienced with supporting unmedicated hospital births. I would especially appreciate someone who is comfortable helping me advocate for my birth preferences while maintaining a positive relationship with my medical team. I don't know my budget at this time.
