Im trans and need someone lgbt friendly or part of the community. I dont know what I need yet, currently I need someone to guide me and my partner through this time and maybe advocate for me. Its hard being pregnant especially for the first time and as a disabled person. Ive been to the hospital a lot and some hospitals are just really bad and I need someone to advocate for me when its like that. Also need help with just being pregnant in general bc I wanna make sure im doing everything right. Also I have a service dog and a service dog in training. I wanna give birth at the birthing place in north hampton I forgot what its called. I cannot afford much as I only make under 600 a month so id prefer to use my insurance which is masshealth. Ivr never had a doula so im open to learning about what you can offer for support.

First timer here! The thought of giving birth at home sounds cozy and amazing and less invasive, however, for safety reasons most likely a hospital. I’d prefer a hands off experience, I trust my body & that it knows what to do; no Pitocin no epidural, no birthing laying down, etc. Yet I know sometimes we make plans and God giggles. Sometimes I feel naive for not having many questions considering this is my first time giving birth / becoming a mom - I want guidance and support for when those questions arise. A voice for if and when my voice shakes too much. Someone who obviously knows a lot more than I do and CARES. A whole new chapter will be unfolding February 2027, new noises in the house, new sleep schedule (and I’m a sleeeeepy girl regardless of being pregnant), I want to breastfeed sooooo badly, it’s all new to me so someone who has knowledge on all of these new pages would be amazing.

I’m planning to give birth in a hospital because I feel most comfortable having medical support available. I definitely plan on getting an epidural for pain management, but I still want the experience to feel as calm and supported as possible. My budget is around $800–$1,500, depending on what’s included. I’m open to some flexibility if it’s a really good fit and includes prenatal and postpartum support. For my birth plan, I’m hoping for a smooth vaginal delivery, but I’m also realistic and open to whatever is safest for me and the baby. Since I plan on getting an epidural, I’d really like someone who can help me stay relaxed, guide me through the process, and support both me and my partner during labor. Communication is really important to me—I want to understand what’s happening and feel involved in decisions. After birth, I’d love immediate skin-to-skin contact and some guidance during those first few hours. Postpartum support would also be really helpful

Just found out my wife is pregnant she is either 3 weeks or 7 weeks. First ultrasound is scheduled for June 1st. We are Catholic and are interested in learning about natural birthing practices. Want to learn about doulas midwives and how to have either a home birth or a natural hospital birth. Hi! I'm Sarah. My husband, Caleb, and I are excited to be welcoming our second baby this November. We live in Worthington, Massachusetts, after recently moving back from Florida, where I was born and raised. Caleb grew up here in western Massachusetts, so we're happy to be closer to his family as we continue growing ours. Our first birth was a home birth that ended in an unplanned C-section, and while I'm incredibly thankful for my son and for the medical care that was available when we needed it, I'm really hoping to have a successful VBAC this time. Avoiding another cesarean is very important to me if it can be done safely, so I'm looking for a doula who is experienced with VBACs and can provide steady, knowledgeable support throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth. After my son's birth, I also struggled with postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety. This time around, I'm hoping that building a stronger support system before birth will help me have a healthier and more positive postpartum experience. I'm looking for someone who can not only support me during labor but also provide encouragement and guidance as our family adjusts after baby arrives. Things like helping clean the kitchen, keeping up with laundry, preparing freezer meals for our family, watching the baby when I need an extra hand, and help with breastfeeding since I really want to be successful in that this time around. More than anything, we're looking for a doula who is compassionate, encouraging, and committed to helping us make informed decisions while creating the best possible birth experience for our growing family.

I am early on in navigating my first pregnancy. I will be giving birth at UMass Memorial in Worcester, but I live in Charlton, MA. I am interested in having a birth doula and ideally the same candidate to help when we transition to home life for a few hours. I’m interested in having an unmediated birth, however I am aware that reality might have a different thought. Movement is a necessity for me. My current birth plan is to be induced on October 6th, 2026 because I have a high risk twin pregnancy as well as adrenal insufficiency requiring monitoring and stress doses of IV steroids. This is my 1st pregnancy. I plan on attempting a vaginal birth but am comfortable having a C-section if medically necessary.

We are a couple in a difficult situation. Ting (20 years old and 19 weeks along) lives in Middletown CT and has one more year before finishing her Bachelor's degree at Wesleyan University. She is working on this final year while being pregnant. She will be giving birth during her last semester, and probably right around the time of her thesis project. Dan (36 years old) has just accepted a two year contract teaching theater in Myanmar, and has been there to working this position since late July. Because of this, he is only able to provide financial assistance and emotional support from afar until December, when he will return to assist with the birth. Ting and Dan's relationship is strong and stable, and assuming the plan moves forward as described, their financial base will also be reasonable. We would likely have a support budget of up to 1,000 per month. This is our first pregnancy, and we're excited to welcome our baby to the world, but we hope to find the support of an experienced birth doula who can help us through the journey. We are enrolled to give birth at Connecticut Childbirth and Women's Center in Danbury. Although Ting has just begun her new semester at Wesleyan, she is having a pretty difficult time managing the physical changes and a continued and persistent morning sickness (more like all day everyday sickness). Ting is insured through Wellfleet (Cigna), so ideally we will find someone licensed through them to help, but we understand that doula care is often out of pocket.e
