We will be first time parents and would like guidance throughout the pregnancy, childbirth and aftercare.
I would like to give birth at the Sturgeon Hospital in St. Albert. I would love to have a hands free birth with support by me but I want my body to be in complete control. We don’t have much money to work with, we just want the best care while at the hospital delivering. My original plan was to have a midwife in the hospital with me so that it’s just me, my husband, and the midwife in the moment but it is so hard to find a midwife. I would prefer someone with lots of years of experience, this is our first baby and we are nervous but very excited but as I said before we just want the smoothest, calmest, and best care!
I would like to give birth at home in the the bathtub in my room. This is my 5th baby and all deliveries have been vaginal deliveries.
I have had a previous emergency c-section on August,22/2025 and I’m now pregnant with a due date of September,26/2026 and I really hope to try for a v-bac I just want to speak to someone or gain knowledge or have someone to advocate for me 1) plan to give birth at lois hole
I’d like to give birth at the hospital I am currently awaiting my permanent residency so I am not covered at the moment so lower cost. I need help on a birth plan and prenatal care
Midwife for delivery, and postpartum check ups and newborn health check
I’m not sure where I would like to have birth. I don’t know anyone who’s had a home birth and I never really knew that was ever an option. I’m flexible in my budget. This is my first child so I don’t know what to include in my birth plan. I don’t even have an OB yet and I’m 16 weeks.
plan to give birth in hospital . i have alberta health card am first time mom i don't know too much my body is going through all changes. My family doc is not available in emergency.
I’m not sure where I feel like giving birth. To be honest I’m not thrilled about having a hospital birth but I’m also not that much into home birth since then I feel responsible about cleaning up every thing. So maybe birth center? Also my budget would be around $500. Birth plan would be to go natural and unmedicated. I’d like a midwife that would be gentle, friendly but also not to passive since I need someone to sometimes tell me “you need to do this now” like a leader. Also encouraging me!
This is my 3rd baby, both of my first 2 were vaginal deliveries. I had epidurals with both of my older kids and would like an epidural for this one. I would like to give birth in a hospital. I was induced with my second and I am not opposed to being induced. My husband is my support person for labor. I would like to be able to be in the shower for to help with contractions, I would like music, snacks, dim lights, and minimal interventions if possible.
It has always been a dream of mine to have a water birth, I have had one emergency C-section and one scheduled C-section so this will be a VBAC. We do not have an estimated budget. Funds are not a problem. I would like to have a water birth at a birthing centre or the hospital. I would like my husband be beside me 24 seven and coaching me along.. I do not want to cut the umbilical cord right away. I’d like light music and the ability to get up and walk around whenever needed. Just an overall calming atmosphere. As my last two deliveries were not that.
I want a hospital birth. Need a midwife during my pregnancy.
1. I’d love to have a home birth if it’s possible. This is my first ever birth and I want it to be in a very comfortable setting. 2. I haven’t thought about budget and don’t really know what this sort of thing costs. 3. I don’t have one yet
