About me

As a Professional Nanny/Infant Care Specialist ICS for over 15 years to many children and households the experience I’ve obtained has helped mold me into a flexible and quick thinking professional. I love working with children ages newborn to 13 years old. In the last 10 years I’ve worked for HNW clients and have cultivated the professional aspect of being a childcare provider. Being a Nanny isn’t just a job for me, it’s a passion of mine which is why I’ve done it for so many years and I’ve gone back to school to keep my skills and knowledge current as any new courses or certifications become available. I’ve experienced some of the most exciting times while traveling with clients for work or leisure while caring for their children. Providing peace of mind and support for families during travel is something I’m comfortable doing and can confidently say I feel I’m capable of. Although not always a piece of cake it can always be turned into a great experience. Being a Nanny has so many aspects to it and can be rewarding in many different ways. I would have to say I have a true passion for Infant care, which is why I’ve specialized specifically in this age group as an overnight infant care specialist the last few years. I have a love for the tender nature of this type of care that I’m able to give in such a stoic time as the newborn stage offers. As we know, that time is short lived. As one of my favorite quotes by Gretchen Rubin says, ‘the days are long but the years are short’ and I’ve come to know the true honor and pleasure of being given the opportunity to partake in the life of a little human being. Helping to guide, mold, and nurture the development of a child is not just a job for me. I don’t take that privilege of being welcomed into a family’s private home, trusted with the most important person in their life lightly. Being part of those precious early days is a gift. As developmental milestones are met the type of care does too change. From caring for a newborn I’ll quickly then find myself introducing babies to first foods, and it is something that I pride myself in assisting with, from grocery list to full meal prep. My experience as a preschool/kindergarten teacher has helped me understand and grow my knowledge of how to provide toddlers to school age children the accessibility to expand their interests and perspectives while enriching their ideas while doing life.
