Hi! I'm a first time mom with Cigna, looking for a doula to help support me as a woman with several risk factors, like lichen sclerosis, advanced maternal age, and anxiety. I'd like a doula for prenatal consultation(s), labor support, and breastfeeding education/assistance. We'd like to cap out out-of-pocket budget around $1,000, if possible. We live in Jersey City and would like some local, with strong certifications and experience.

Ideally, I'm also looking for someone who **accepts Maven benefits** or has experience working with **Maven**. Hello, My name is Daja Gilliam, and I'm currently in my third trimester. I'm reaching out because I'm looking for a doula who can provide the support and advocacy I've been missing throughout my pregnancy. Unfortunately, I haven't received the prenatal care I needed for much of my pregnancy due to switching OB-GYNs and dealing with other challenges. As a result, I've often felt dismissed during appointments, and it's been difficult to feel heard or supported by my medical providers. I'm hoping to find a doula who can be a supportive presence during the remainder of my pregnancy, help me prepare for birth, and provide reassurance and advocacy during labor and delivery. Having someone in my corner who will listen, help me ask questions, and support my birth preferences would mean a great deal to me. If you're accepting clients, I'd love to learn more about your services, availability, and how you work with families in situations like mine. Thank you for taking the time to read my message. I look forward to hearing from you. Warmly, Daja Gilliam 201-535-1173
I plan to give birth at NYU with Downtown Women. We are hoping to find doula covered by our insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield but if there are additional services requiring payment that is also ok. This is my first time pregnancy and I don’t have a plan for delivery yet.
