I am a Nigerian looking to give birth in red deer canada, I need a doula that can work this process with me, I will be paying out of pocket and I have no idea of what the budget should be like, I would like a home/birthing center birth of my medical records allow it. I am looking forward to have an unmedicated birth.
I am needing a doula or a midwife. I have my first apt with a OBYGN but I believe I would like to go natural *no epidural* for the first time. I have had 4 pregnancies and births prior to this one all with epidural and vaginally. For my last final baby i would like to try and experience more of the natural birth as far as I can go before I ask for the epidural or for the whole birth. I am wanting to give birth at home or birth center but always open to the hospital. I have coverage by Alberta works. I am a 24 year old mama and my partner is 25 almost 26 years old. This will be my first time giving birth here in red deer. All my other babies have been born in Calgary.
I am looking for someone who can both encourage, explain, and defend my husband and I through birth. I am hoping to have an unmediated birth and would like the most out of this empowering experience. We are Christian so someone who understands this and the power of the lord would be a plus but not necessary! We live near morningside Alberta, but will probably deliver in red deer, open to Ponoka. We don’t have an exact budget, but would rather not go above $900
