Childcare and working with families has been my career for over thirteen years. Since 2011, I have had the privilege of supporting a wide range of families, caring for children from newborns to twelve years of age in both private homes and early years settings. Alongside my childcare career, I am currently completing my certifications as a birth and postpartum doula and child sleep consultant, and I am also studying to become a birth and lactation coach. These areas of study allow me to further expand my knowledge of pregnancy, birth, postpartum adjustment, infant development, breastfeeding and lactation, responsive sleep, and family support. I am experienced with meal preparation, wardrobe management, laundry, organization, appointment scheduling, school runs, errands, travel preparation, and maintaining tidy, welcoming spaces. I am confident accommodating vegan, vegetarian, dairy free, and allergy conscious diets. I hold a degree in Child Development and remain committed to continuing my professional development. I maintain my First Aid and CPR certification, have completed training in childcare administration, allergy awareness, and the BC Early Learning Framework (known as the FLIGHT curriculum in Alberta), and actively seek opportunities to continue learning throughout my career. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, swimming, reading, dancing, and arts and crafts.
