Terry was a great birth doula for our family. As first-time parents, we had very little idea what to expect, and I also had a medically necessary scheduled induction, which made us quite nervous. During our prenatal sessions, Terry walked us through the entire induction and labor process and helped us feel much more prepared and confident. Terry from NYU Langone provided an exceptional experience when helping us prepare our car seat installation. What stood out most was the level of care and flexibility she brought to the process. She made a house call to our home and thoughtfully scheduled the visit around my availability, which made the entire experience convenient and stress-free during an already busy time. Terry walked us through three different installation options with patience and clarity: installing the seat with the base, installing the seat without the base using the seat belt, and an additional seat belt routing option for secure installation. Rather than simply installing the seat and moving on, she took the time to explain the differences between each method, demonstrate them step-by-step, and make sure we were comfortable doing them ourselves. Her approach was both professional and reassuring. Terry made sure we understood not just how to install the seat, but why each method works and when you might use one over another. The first couple nights we brought our baby home, my wife and I didn't sleep because we hadn't gotten into a routine yet. Terry saved us by taking the night shifts for the first 2 weeks, and set us up with a sustainable rythm. She also answered all of our questions and concerns and was very knowledgeable and reassuring. She taught us how to feed our baby to minimize spitup, the importance of a regular schedule and general milestones to expect. If you're looking for someone to support your family and new baby, look no further.

We are a couple with a 12 month old baby. Terry helped us for the first two weeks postpartum as our night nurse from 10 pm to 7 am. Even though it was only 2 weeks, it was a really helpful transitional period. She’s deeply empathetic and truly cares for people. On the first day she arrived, she came with a thermos of soup which I did not expect but was so thoughtful during a time when I wasn’t eating because of the stress. Our baby was very comfortable with her from the start. She has good intuition and experience. I learned a great deal from her about child rearing and development.

I had Terry as both birth doula and postpartum doula (with meal prep). She is attentive, energetic and not judgmental. She is knowledgeable about all stages of prenatal, laboring and postpartum care, and finds ways to engage my partner in the process (e.g. acupressure points, relaxation lines and perineal massage). She is also resourceful and provides information for breastfeeding, cord blood banking, placenta encapsulation and acupuncture therapy. In particular, she encourages us to advocate and push back against unnecessary invasive treatments. Her meal plan is custom made and the meals are nutritious.

A doula has been there during delivery of course out of gratitude you will send a message after months after cuz hey u remember them. Even to send a pic of the baby they help u deliver. Service was nice because it's a job for them. And everything will be peachy, at that given time, even before leaving my reviews terry was like keep her posted and I can send pic of the baby if I like. At the time I felt so comfortable. Now coming to send greeting message and pictures of the baby. My message are been read and no reply like am now an animal. This review is long over due, but I am so grateful I came across Terry for my third pregnancy. My first two were over 11 & 7 years ago so this time felt brand new all over again with a lot of things different. From prior experience I now realized how important it is to have the right support during the most vulnerable time of pregnancy and giving birth.
