Plan to give birth at St Peter’s Hospital Not sure on a budget yet I’m interested in giving birth in a hospital without an epidural, but am not 100% sure yet. I would like someone who can coach me through labor, and help me figure out breastfeeding
My daughter is 5 months old and ebf. She completely refuses all bottles. I saw laction before they thought it was a tongue tie so I brought her to the doctors and confirmed she did NOT have a tie. I have CDPHP HMO for insurance
I am currently in my 24th week of pregnancy, and have so far had a smooth pregnancy. My due date is July 13, 2026 and I plan to give birth at St. Peter's hospital in Albany, NY. We are open to budget, but would like to stay under $3,000. I am not sure if I will need a lactation consultant, but wanted to look at options and learn more so I can make an informed decision about it. My birth plan is to ideally be minimally medicated, and not have a full epidural. I would like to be able to get up and walk around, use the bathroom, and switch birthing positions based on what feels comfortable with minimal limitations. I hope to have a vaginal birth and learn more ways to prepare for a safe one.
I have never used a doula before and I think I would love the experience this will be my first time trying to breastfeed after having three kids already and I just want a calm birthing experience I would probably still give birth in hospital I’m hoping my insurance covers everything
