Hospital birth but would like to keep low intervention and as natural as possible. First time parent so looking to see how much this might cost and if it’s something we can afford. Would like to labor at home as long as possible and then will go to Maple Grove fo delivery.

I am a first time mom and would love to have someone there that can advocate for me/help me with any questions I have! I have an amazing husband, but this is new to both of us so we would love to have someone there with all the expertise that can make this process as easy, fun, and enjoyable as possible! I am planning on giving birth at SIU Carbondale. I don’t have a budget in mind. My birth plan is still being created.

I plan to give birth in a hospital and would like to aim for a low-intervention birth if possible, while fully trusting medical guidance if plans need to change. Emotional support and reassurance are very important to me, especially as someone who can feel anxious in new situations. My priorities include: Feeling supported and advocated for during labor My partner being involved and supported as well Skin-to-skin contact after birth if possible Support with early breastfeeding and latching A calm, positive environment that helps reduce stress and overwhelm I value guidance, reassurance, and gentle encouragement over a rigid birth plan, and I’m looking for support that helps me feel confident as I transition into motherhood.
