I plan to give birth at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank. My due date is July 12. I am looking for an experienced female doula to support me during labor and especially postpartum. I would appreciate help with newborn care, including feeding, bathing, soothing, sleep support, and guidance during the first weeks after birth. I speak English, Armenian, and Russian, and I would prefer a doula who speaks Armenian or Russian, though English is also fine. Experience with first-time mothers is a big plus. I have Health Net through Medi-Cal, so I am looking for a doula whose services are fully covered by my insurance, with no out-of-pocket costs if possible.

I’m open to giving birth wherever it’s possible, preferably hospital because it’s safer but I’m open to home birth too, if I get enough of education and coaching. I am also going to be alone for this, my husband works nights, my family doesn’t live around, my mom can come to be with me few times a year for a bit. I’d pay using anthem ppo. Want to reduce the cesarean and I’m open to pain meds, as I have low pain tolerance. I get anxious and tend to be panicky. I’d love to prevent tearing, I have raynaund’s phenomenon and my nipples are sensitive. I’d like to give birth at a birthing center but my husband is leaning towards a hospital. I mainly want it to be a natural birth and to labor how I feel most comfortable. I don’t want to be pressured or pushed by the hospital in any way (including delayed cord clamping, keeping vernix on etc).
