I would like to have as least medical interventions as possible however while still in a hospital setting in case it is medically necessary to intervene. I would like to have a doula for supporting my husband and I in preparation for this to be possible as well as postpartum support to help me get settled in as a new mother healing from birthing. I don’t have a set budget as I am unaware of the costs that go into this. But we are willing to work towards meeting our needs. I would like to be informed of all my childbirth options, like how much is covered through my insurance, maternity leave and childcare for when I return to work. First-time mom planning a hospital birth at Pomona Valley Hospital and looking for a birth/postpartum doula with a practical, evidence-based approach. I want as natural birth as possible in the sense that I only want medical intervention if it is absolutely necessary (no induction, no episiotomy etc). I am going in expecting to need an epidural but am also open to the idea of being unmedicated. I am looking for someone to assist with pain management and advocacy while in labor and for education in early/postpartum care for my baby (tips/tricks/lactation/mama stomach wrapping). I would like someone with no less than 3 years of experience and is possibly able to assist with postpartum care at home.

I plan to give birth in a hospital. This is my first pregnancy, and I want to try to attempt the whole labor and delivery process without an epidural, if i can or for as long as i can, and if i cant handle it then possibly get an epidural. I need someone to help coach me through the process of labor and delivery when my early labor starts to when i go to hospital and even while pushing. Hi! I’m a 21-year-old married mom of a 2-year-old, currently pregnant with my second baby and going through a separation from my husband. I’m a Christian, and I’m really looking for a doula who can support me physically, emotionally, and spiritually throughout this pregnancy and birth. I’m hoping to have an unmedicated, natural birth and would love to learn breathing techniques, labor positions, and different coping strategies to help me prepare. I’m honestly scared, and one of my biggest goals is to have a positive birth experience and to avoid tearing entirely if possible. I want to learn everything I can to prepare my body and reduce my risk of tearing. I also want to learn more about nutrition during pregnancy, including organic foods and understanding healthy versus less-healthy carbohydrates. I plan to breastfeed again and would love support with preparing for that as well. I also have questions about healthy weight management during pregnancy and postpartum and would love guidance on how to safely care for my body while making sure my baby is properly nourished. My husband and I are separated, but I would like him to be able to learn how to support me during pregnancy and birth if he is willing. I would appreciate a doula who can help educate both of us on what genuine, respectful support can look like during labor and delivery. As a Black mother and woman, I’m also very aware of the disparities and racism Black women can face within the healthcare system.
