This is my third child and would prefer to have a home birth if possible. I am 38 years old. I would like someone who uses a more naturopathic approach and not push vaccines on me. Due to my second pregnancy being higher risk, I would like a more experienced professional who is certified with the relevant associations. I use a cost-sharing program for healthcare costs so technically I am not insured. Maternity is covered by that program. If needed, I can become insured by January.

I am looking for postpartum support options that fit within my available coverage or payment options. Requirements for the provider (certification, years of experience, second language): I am looking for someone experienced in postpartum support and newborn care, especially overnight newborn care. Certification as a postpartum doula, newborn care specialist, or similar training is preferred. I value someone patient, compassionate, respectful of my parenting choices, and knowledgeable about newborn needs. A second language is not required. Details about care recipients (age, special needs, feeding, etc.): I am expecting my first baby. My care recipient will be my newborn baby. I will need support learning my baby’s routines, feeding, soothing, diapering, and newborn care. I would appreciate someone who can support me as I recover and adjust to motherhood. Additional duties (sleep training, cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc.): My main need is postpartum recovery support, especially nighttime care so I can get adequate rest after birth. I am looking for assistance with: * Overnight newborn care * Feeding support (breastfeeding, pumping, and/or bottle feeding support if needed) * Diaper changes and soothing * Helping establish healthy newborn routines (not formal sleep training right away) * Light household cleaning as needed * Cooking or meal preparation * Light laundry assistance My goal is to have compassionate support during the transition into motherhood while allowing me time to heal, rest, bond with my baby, and gain confidence caring for my newborn.

Just exploring the option. Definitely would like to meet with a midwife than an ob… did not have a good experience last time. I am open to a home birth but not opposed to a hospital birth. I would like an unmedicated birth.

My name is Janessa, this is my first pregnancy. I’m 20 years old. I’m looking for a midwife and Doula to help me bring for a healthy pregnancy. I am in the DMV area. I would like a well experienced Doula and the midwife around 10 years of experience. I plan on doing a home delivery.

Seeking a doula to help prepare better for my third baby due in February. I’ve had two vaginal hospital deliveries but was induced with my first and I ended up with an epidural with my second because I wasn’t prepared for a long labor and ended up with bad baby positioning and pelvic girdle pain.
