I am a first time expectant maternal/child nurse who is looking for support for a natural birth in a hospital setting. I would like to labor majorly in the comfort of my home with my partner, when it is time I would like to go to MMC to birth unmedicated with intermittent monitoring low intervention and preferably not on my back. I am looking for someone to support me during a natural birth using spinning babies, non pharmacological measures, and help me learn how to advocate for myself during the laboring process. I am unsure of a budget, and am open to class settings. |

Planning to give birth to my third baby at trinity health muskegon. Would like birth support for extra advocacy, postpartum support as I'm a graduate student, and need lactation support as I had failed exclusively breast feeding with my first two despite wanting to breast feed. I'm currently unsure of budget. I go with the flow in terms of birth. I had epidurals the first two times but would prefer not to. I'm not opposed to an epidural but would prefer to give birth pain medication free. I want my baby to receive vitamin k, b, and erythromycin, I want the baby to stay in the room with me at all times unless medically necessary, and want the cord delayed clamping until the cord is white. Currently working through making my birth plan and adding things as I decide upon them. Thank you for reading. |

I am looking for a midwife or even 2, an doula possibly, and a lactation consultant to guide me through all of the specifics of a home birth and what it all entails! I want to do a home birth (we live in an apartment as well) so bad, but am also nervous of the risks it might come with. My husband and I live 5 minutes from a University of Michigan hospital, and I have an OB. My pregnancy has gone as perfect as it can, and baby is completely healthy and has absolutely no issues! I’m hoping to at least talk to a midwife at first to decide for sure that a home birth is right for me and my baby girl! If my husband and I decide it is for sure what we want then I want to move forward in doing a home birth with a midwife and maybe even a doula?… my husband is completely on board with the home birth idea as well and is super supportive of any route I choose to go! I want to make my dream home birth happen! So I don’t know the price range of what we want to be in, but if our insurance helps us out which I think it should, we can be pretty flexible! I’m not completely sure what the price range is for a midwife and doula either, but I’m definitely going to do some research and see what a reasonable budget is! I’m hoping to find someone patient, takes their time (doesn’t rush the delivery unless medically needed), is soft spoken when needed, and is bubbly and positive! My husband and I are Christians as well, but either way it isn’t a make or break type of thing! I’m flexible with that type of thing! My birth plan is obviously I want to do a home birth if I possibly can, I want to go unmedicated, I want the lights to be on, but dimmed and at my place the lighting is perfect for the amount of light I want to have, I want/need a calm and peaceful environment because I can get stressed easily if the environment is chaotic and rushed, I want to maybe have music playing in the background just to have a peaceful labor, I want to move around as much as possible while laboring, I am very open to cervical checks to see how much I’m dilated as well as checking baby girl’s heart rate on a Doppler, I love encouragement and talking (any sort of fun or easy going conversations is such a great way to help me get through contractions), if i can have pictures and videos taken here and there I would love to get some taken to remember those moments, I’m not exactly sure what position I want to give birth in but I’m thinking on my back on my own bed like normal or sitting up a bit on my bed as well, and I would love to have my husband cut the cord and be as involved as possible in the birth of he wants to be! This birth plan is long and specific, but if it doesn’t go exactly to plan I’m flexible as long as we are both healthy! I’m also not sure if it’s still possible being in an apartment but I really hope it can be! The walls are pretty sound proof:) I am so excited for this journey and I am looking forward to hopefully making my dream home birth a reality! |

I am a first time mom. I plan on giving birth in a hostpital and would like someone there to support me before birth (maybe one or two sessions), during birth, and postpartum if I need it. I don't have a budget and I hope to have an unmedicated birth but that's as far as I have gotten in my birth plan. |

Location: Lawrence, IN 46226, USA

I was originally planning to give birth at home but that has pivoted to the hospital now. I had an outside doula I hired at the beginning of my pregnancy but due to personal financial strain, I had to cancel her services. Therefore, I don’t have money to pay for a doula currently. I am expecting my first baby and I’ve always wanted a completely natural birth as I am aware that my body is made to birth. I am being told my baby is measuring big due to gestational diabetes and during my appointment today my OB mentioned a c-section as well as the potential of my baby’s shoulders getting stuck and the complications/risks that come with having a “big” baby. I also do not want to be induced. I want to let my body and baby do what it needs to do when it’s ready and not by force. For the sake of our health I will do things that I may not be most comfortable with if it’s absolutely needed. I don’t believe I need to be forced into an induction or a c-section because baby is big. I want to be able to walk around while in labor, sleep, eat small snacks, get into a tub of water, use a birth ball and deliver in the water or on all fours if possible. I simply want to do everything in my power to make my birthing experience a memorable moment and not a traumatic moment. |

I plan on giving birth at St francis on the Southside of Indianapolis but I live on the slight north east of indianapolis. I plan on using insurance to cover the cost. We are on one income and we don't have enough to cover the cost. I just want an extra set of eyes and hears so the hospital don't screw over on my health nor my unborn child heath. |

1. I want to give birth at community hospital south. 2. $1000-$2000 3. What I’m looking for…..Coach/guidance through active labor. With my first I labored 24 hours, then with my second I labored 6 hours. Felt like with my second I could have done it natural if I just had some support as far as during labor with positioning and coaching and such. I labored 5.5 hours, got the epidural, and within like 5 minutes of epidural he was here. Not opposed at all to epidural if needed but would love to try to do it natural |
