My hospital is MUSC is Florence, SC. Looking for someone who accepts First Choice Medicaid. If not, my total budget would only be about $1,000. I plan to do an unmedicated hospital birth with as little interventions as possible.

I am planning to get an epidural if possible and would like guidance with using a peanut ball and laboring in different positions instead of only delivering on my back. I may want to try all-fours on the bed or side-lying with one leg supported. I also prefer for the placenta to remain attached until it stops pulsating. My estimated budget for doula support in Richmond, VA is around $800–$1,200 depending on what is included. I will be giving birth in a hospital. I want as natural as possible and the freedom to move about during labor. I want someone who will be able to advocate for me and my needs/wants when I am unable or being pressured by doctors. I also want someone to help with main management and giving me strategies to use throughout labor. I am not sure of my budget.

My birth plan is no matter where I birth, I want an undisturbed birth (as much as possible), no students, no epidural, no unnecessary checks, delayed clamping (pass the 2 minutes), and a doula who feels like family and who will advocate for me like no other when I’m simply unable and guide my partner as well as step back to allow him to be just as much a part of birth.
